Cool production. It's really bass heavy but still manages to be atmospheric. I love the vocal samples.
Listening to solitude. The bass could be mixed a little lower. This has extreme potential. Just add more to the mix, it feels like there's something missing.
Energizer sounds like something straight out of the Super Hexagon soundtrack (pretty cool game with chiptune) and I liked the soundtrack to that.

Nice track, just needs a bit more development throughout the track, especially towards the end. I like it.

New track came out decent, figured I could get some feedback here. Also need a better name for my project, will take suggestions.

I had another version of this up earlier but I deleted it and reuploaded it with better mastering because I accidentally had one of the vocal tracks 5 db too high
fuck with these
This is a worse version of Das Racist
why even
I mean because it's a beat made famous by Das Racist we name dropped them but aside from that I don't think it's too similar.
I'll be honest when ever I see post rock and Elmo in these threads I get worried because it seems a lot of people just think that equates to whining and lame crescendos, but I didn't feel that way at all with your music. I love how organic and tender your song snow sounds, reminds me a bit of The World Is A Beautiful Place. Only criticism is the reverb you use is a little murky and obscures your voice, which is a huge highlight of your music and I'd like to be able to hear it a bit clearer. Keep it up you clearly have a knack for this stuff.

What do you think of the final version

so fucked guys, been arrested and released from jail on bail. lookin at some pot growing charges and pot posession, plus research chems they might be charging me for. just released this new album, anyways - yall should check it out. doing a few live ELPU jams in my town, expect those to be uploaded to youtube. unfortunately i'm going to face the consequences and either go to jail or be fined up to $1,500 for the pot, at least 2x if charged for analogs, so i'd appreciate any donations to my paypal via the email [email protected], or preferably to my bitcoin address at
1Eif4kKQkPhuMpMaJDyYG1EYS8gHmpLtLQ. if you decide to donate a reasonable and helpful amount, send me the amount you paid and a criteria for production or a track to remix, i'll make it worth your while! thank you guys for making these past few years of producing music so fruitful and guiding me to be a better person overall. :) -noah

Its easy to tell how much fun you are having on this track and it's pretty infectious. And fuck the guy saying you are just a worse version of dad racist, keep doing what you are doing until you find exactly what your style is. Until then only critisim is you are recording with the gain on your mic too high and it muffles your voice a bit. Keep it up you're killing it so far.
Me
The 1st guy has a better voice but the 2nd guy has cleverer lines and a better flow imo. You would definitely benefit from either a producer or a lot of practice with basic production techniques, because although the rapping is really good for what sounds like teenagers fucking around in their bedroom the recording quality is pretty poor

I just wrote like fifty bars or somn.
I love how crazy the vocal performance is, and the chaotic and horn based instrumentation really makes me feel like I'm going crazy in a good way. Almost reminds me of a clockwork orange. Keep it up I like the style.

I like this, man. Some of the rhymes are a little too obvious but it has a freestyled feel to it that makes that okay. Nice job.
Me
Thanks for the feedback, man. It's kind of embarrassing to admit but my gain is so high because I wanted to rap quietly enough to not disturb my mom downstairs. I'll fix that next time, though.
As for your song:
The riffage is nice and catchy and the influences are pretty easy to see. Only real drawback is that the lyrics are kind of meh in parts. I feel like you need some more overt irony if you're gonna build a song around crunchy guitars doing a pop progression. But I've always liked Vampire Weekend more than The Strokes so that might just be me.

No problem pal, always happy to listen. And thanks the compliment is much appreciated.
Heh nothing to be ashamed of, gotta start somewhere right. And I aporeciate the feedback, this song is definitely the most lyrically weak, it had the fucking phrase "turn up the radio" at one point. I'll keep working on that aspect, hope we get to see each other improve in later threads.

The mix is so flat that the vocals sound like they're playing over a backing track rather than in the middle of a live band. I'm not enough of a producer to explain what you might need to do, but this exact song could sound a lot better if it had more of a live band feel. The Strokes are insanely tight as a band, an interesting technical skill that underpins their style in a way that multi-tracking with yourself in pirated Cubase can't always match.

I keep deleted my tracks lel, heres a new one though.
Everything you hear is recorded live but I'm very new to recording so I guess I'll just have to brush up on how to make everything feel live rather than just relying on hoping the recording captures that. Thanks for the tip man I'll make sure to keep that in mind moving forward.
