Pretty amazing.

They're good and all, but I can't help but listen to other jangle pop instead.

you guys are alright, don't go back to rockville

They're my favorite band ever. I just watched WTLIM earlier tonight, haven't seen that in too long. There's some really neat footage/interviews in there, I recommend it.

ITS

why do brits have so many unibrowed people?
or is it only celtic people and not anglo saxons?

rem is from georgia mate

The enunciation is kind of clunky but not bad.

THE

Bill Berry looks a lot like a jangle pop Jason Molina

their entire output from the beginning of the band until new adventures in hi-fi is fucking god-tier

one of my favourite bands to say the very least, murmur and reckoning are tied for their best, although document is severely underrated, especially for how popular it is

Seen em' twice live. Both times Stipe was a biggity bitch. Shit opening bands... but all in all not too bad. They did a great cover of Syd Barrett's Opel.

Overrated annoying liberal douches.

He looked like Beaker when he had the crazy hair.

>their entire output from the beginning of the band until new adventures in hi-fi is fucking god-tier
Yep.

>murmur and reckoning are tied for their best
I probably wouldn't put Reckoning at 1 or 2, but it's up there. It sounds like a "clearer" less hazy Murmur in a way.

>although document is severely underrated, especially for how popular it is
I've always thought this about Document, Green, and especially Out Of Time. They're known for some huge singles but my god those albums are loaded to the teeth. I wouldn't say the singles are the best songs on those albums either, especially not on OOT.

I saw em live too and they were incredible.

Nice

Their 80s album are all god tier alt-rock
Out of Time sounds cheesy as fuck now aside from a few tracks, Automatic is possibly the greatest album of the 90s. Monster and New Adventures were bland and forgettable, everything after Berry was shit

2 out of 5 ain't bad.

Listening to Fables of the Reconstruction again right now. Fantastic.

END

Document is my favorite of theirs

super underrated album, and it's amazing that it's not even close to the best of their 80s run.

Exactly. I'd probably put it in the middle though.

here
I'd also like to add that Peter Buck was completely wrong about Wendell Gee.

>always so civilized and meme-free

Going to use this in the next thread about R.E.M.

At least Murmur and AFTP deserve 10s.

they made some good hits
