i really like this, the vocals are unique which is rare for an indie rock band. you guys remind me of guided by voices mixed with built to spill
the album Arcade is very nostalgic and relaxing. reminds me of sitting in the living room playing SNES games as kid, very atmospheric and listenable.

eden sounds like if Tangerine Dream made rock music during their Virgin years. very striking soundscapes, quite melancholy. super good music.
thank you very much for listening but how could you tell i was a virgin?
kek, the inherent sadness in the music conveyed it to me

Just recently released this album. Any honest feedback, how does this album holds up?
Very decent stuff! Very interesting style.
definitely picking up some the world is a beautiful place and i am no longer afraid to die vibes. very dynamic music, good job
One thing I'm wondering about what is post-punk about this though.

Thanks, bud.
Personally I'm not a fan of that band, but I appreciate being compared to a popular group that you enjoy. Thanks for listening.
Listen to the whole thing and find out ;)
your vocals are by far the best part about your music (referring to Basic sharpie), but I also love the heavy basslines. pretty trippy shit, very noisy, i like it
Loving weird around you from the first seconds. Great sound, great atmosphere.
Thanks for listening man! Vocals are split on tracks between me and my friend.

That 11 year old was pure fire.
Yeezy better watch his back.
Very relaxing.
Seemed a little discordant at times, but that was probably my imagination.
The songs are good, but the production value is lacking.
The stereo balance is completely favoring the left ear, and that's the kinda thing that'll bug a listener.
Anyway.
Now for my shit.

EERIE SUMMER
NO WAY
if you guys are Sup Forumstants then my day has been made. I've been a huge fan since 2014 when I first heard the Eerie summer EP. Next to the Baddest Beams and Lyklas Ocre, that's seriously my favorite EP ever. Please never stop making music and if you can make more merch, I want to buy one of those Eerie summer bags for my future gf

reccing this. I really enjoy this.
honestly, the compression is way too much in the production on this. I bet you guys are fun live though.

I can't believe it. It's been exactly one month since my first release!
I don't know if thia going by too fast or too slow, but one thing that I'm pretty sure of is that I have gotten a little better at playing the guitar
I mean, I just am not as sloppy as before, and I learned how to make cool melodies
shit, I even learned how to put too sound files together so there could be two guitars
I know that my music is pretty bad and unprofessional, but I am actually pretty damn proud. If I have gotten this "good" then in one year I might be able to make something actually good!
oh well, time to rec some stuff (I can't give feedback right now, I gotta run)
(!!!)
>he recs my album
Do you wanna know how I know you didn't listen to any of those?
i listened to your album. some of your ideas are good, but this album is little more than an album of undeveloped ideas. im not saying it's bad, im just saying that it would sound good if it was more fleshed out. for what it is, it's entertaining and enjoyable, keep it up, seriously.
Does anyone actually listen to stuff on these boards any more? or is it just for posting your stuff and hoping you get blindly rec'd or that one dude shits on you music.
it was like, 2 minutes long so I checked it out, and I loved it! even if it was simple, it still sounded really good
"In The Light Under" was my favourite one, it reminds me of something I can't remember
it also had it's comfy moments, and I live for those
anyways, yeah I really liked it. i should really not be the one saying this but maybe some better production would help (or not, if you want to keep the lo-fi thingy)
i listen to every thing posted here. i agree with you though, it seems like you never get any feedback. i linked my new album in the making of this post and not one person critiqued it. it's whatever though, i know how much it can mean to tell someone you enjoy what they make, and that's why i like participating in these threads.
Fair enough, well thanks for given stuff a shot. i completely missed your link. im listening to it now. drums is crazy.
Thanks for the kind words, but I made it as kind of a joke.
:)
Lol, thanks bro.
I've made much better shit in Sup Forums projects before, and this was just something I did for the fuck of it.
Your album is actually good, however.
Very easy to listen to.
If I could give you one piece of advice, and this is from experience, when recording an electric guitar- put the mic close to the amp and sit far away.
That way you hitting the strings won't be very audible, if at all.

This is giving me flashbacks to when my old computer would freeze in the middle of movies or games. first track is oddly intense. Its an interesting concept, the super short loops and then messing with them. really screws with the musical expectation of building up expectations and then varying them. you start to build them up and then just grab me by the neck and shake the fuck out of my head. Dragged down by the stone is this fantastic build up to a build up, that actually made me jump when it changed pace. Interlude is probably my favorite but probably because it is the most like i normal song. This is honestly very interesting but i think this kind of music might also drive me insane. over all well done i just dont know in what category.
thanks for listening, man. i often hear people say that my music is head-ache inducing, and like you said, could drive you to insanity, and i totally understand why. i'm trying to make relentless, uncompromising, challenging, yet rewarding music. the number one theme i'm going for is intensity. the idea of extreme repetition to the point of obsession has always interested me, and it's an idea that i explored in this album and in my previous one. i hope you got at least some enjoyment out of it. i recognize that im asking a lot out of listeners by asking them to listen to this uncompromising music, but im very passionate about the music i make, so thanks for dignifying it with an in-depth analysis.

If you stuck around you would see theres a handful of people who give actual feedback as much as they can! (I usually try to listen to 3 or 4 songs from each artist i critique and give about a paragraph of feedback).
Sometimes its late in the thread (or people dont care), but about half of the artists reply with a thank you or little note of appreciation.
I usually rec what I like best (only a few artists on here I genuinely have become a fan of, but its worth it)
Whoa, I've yet to hear stuff like this, but I really enjoy it!
>I like fast music
the intent of this thread was for artists who might not otherwise get exposure to share their music and get some feedback
thanks a lot man! haha, i don't usually like including humor in my music, but that quote was too perfect to not take advantage of.
Hehe, good I'm not using headphones, since Underwater Breathing Apparatus' differently delayed guitars would have probably made me nautious. It's really interesting so far!
I'm on these a fair amount. maybe I've posted this thing enough times that all the folks that scroll through have heard it and now just have nothing to say. which is completely possible and not even really that bad. just a bummer to keep posting the thing and not get any kind of comment, maybe it just blows and no one has anything to say :/
This is me by the way.

it's actually one of my favorite techniques in music, phasing. i play the same sample of a guitar riff twice. one in the right audio channel, one in the left. one of the samples is ever so slightly faster than the other, so they slowly become out of sync. eventually, they meet back up, and that's where the song ends. it produces an extremely disorienting effect which i find fascinating

half finished album, psychedelic folk, prog rock kind of shit
ok, this is incredible. clearly a lot of effort went into the making of this album. there's no reason this album couldn't be released on a major record label, it's much higher quality than so many albums out there. the riffing is superb and the vocals fit the punk aesthetic so perfectly. the soloing on Guitars Clash is absolutely nasty. recommended for sure.

Only on Dragon, Albert Ayler was a huge influence in using the recorder to just go ham on. It's just a trace of it though, it's definitely not actual free jazz but I doubt I would have ever thought about using an instrument in that way without his inspiration
This is nice. Not really something I'd listen to often since I'm very picky with electronic music but it's very relaxing synth stuff and anyone who enjoys that kind of style should definitely try it out
Well damn, it's definitely something I'll give you that. And I don't feel like I lost anything by listening but hmm, if you're going to just make messy music, why not go all out and make a lot of noise next time?
Are you a label?
Label or not, there are some choice picks in here my dude. You have good taste either way.
These guys are good, please listen
Feedback and lip service is nice but plays/downloads mean more to me because that's actual evidence that they liked the album. So it doesn't bother me to not get anything at all from a few threads at a time

We start off my new label, Jacob And Friends, with the release of Eric Taxxon's Sky Simplified.
Will be accepting submissions for the label.
>New Release
>Eric Taxxon
>Sky Simplified
>Santa Cruz, Ambient, Ambient Pop, Drone, Vaporwave.
Description:
We often view the sky as something of an art piece in itself. Something reflective, as we wonder and gaze into its openness, while evolving with its ever changing shapes and colors. Eric Taxxon attempts to embody such in his new album, Sky Simplified. With droning synths and ambient melodies, Eric tackles how he holds viewership of the sky with his gentle and yet intricate production.
Now available for stream and download!
Support, scrobble, or review on RYM. Any feedback of any kind would be greatly appreciated. And give Eric some love. Thank You. :)
Also for anyone living in Houston, I will be performing at a showcase at Fitzgerald's on July 1st. If you have an interest in going, contact me for tickets.

I have a small question to all of you. So I have this small track that I don't want to put on Bandcamp because that would be rather stupid. However, I really want to get some critique of this track. Where should I find some help? Can I just put it up here even though it's not on Bandcamp? Thanks in advance!!
Soundcloud is great for single demos like that, check their threads out sometime

Thanks for the suggestion. I'm quite ashamed that I haven't thought about both of these options. Silly me! Anyway, here's this shit if anybody's interested:
