Dead Sara - Pleasure To Meet You 8.3 BNM

I haven't been to /p4k/ in three months. What'd I miss? All the ol' trip/namefags still around?

yea, that's pretty much it. You didn't miss much.

It's been kinda dead since all the big reviews dropped
But we've been carrying on

it's time to rejoice fellow white men
pitchfork.com/features/lists-and-guides/9908-the-50-best-rap-mixtapes-of-the-millennium/?page=4
>coloring book placing 12th
>placing under tapes that didn't even get BNM (dedication 2, XXX)
>placing under acid rap
it's an indie year boys

>What'd I miss?
The long, slow death of Condenastfork, still in progress

>one last AOTY for Radiohead
fuck yeah

I identify as a pitchfork patrician.

>implying Blood Orange isn't getting 9.1 and AOTY

They don't always order their AOTY list based on the score though. Remember Silent Shout got 2006 AOTY with an 8.6 and Art Angels was ahead of several albums that got a higher rating.

This thread stands with Zoe Camp.

whoa whoa whoa
here
what happened to Zoe?

score predictions for Blood Orange?

Hello everyone, how are you doing, and more importantly, what's are you listening to?

>pic related
DEAR TOMMY WHEN

Who's getting it tonight?

dear tommy has a chance at 9.0+, they've loved all the tracks they've released so far

i want to say 8.5, same as Cupid Deluxe, but Pitchfork usually likes to go .1 up or down if consecutive releases from an artist get BNMs

Blood Orange - Freetown Sound: 8.8 BNM

>9.1 and AOTY
yeah probably this desu senpai

...

This thread stands with Michael Gira, Freddie Gibbs, Afrika Bambaataa, Heathcliff Berru, Leslie Rasmussen, Gustavo Guerra & Dr. Luke -- and rejects the rape culture hysteria of Meagan Garvey, Amber Coffman, Bethany Cosentino, Larkin Grimm, Ke$ha, et al.

delete this

I refuse.

Fuck off. This thread stands with Zoe Camp and Zoe Camp alone.

Do it or every Sup Forumstant will be forced to listen to RiFF RAFF's new record.

>her

kys

my friend the p4k shill, please add Meaghan Garvey, Amber Coffman, Bethany Cosentino, and Larkin Grimm to the op.

f u.

Blood Orange 9.2 you heard it first.

AOTY - Freetown Sound
SOTY to Augustine or Burn the Witch - Radiohead

No, it will get an 8.8 BNM. Maybe an 8.7

this

Nah, it's not 9.2 good.

it's definitely not but p4k disagrees

well fuck them

nicely done, friend!

WHERE IS IT?

damn....

NIGHTLY RUNDOWN
Blood Orange 8.8 BNM by Marcus J. Moore
River Tiber 7.8 by Kevin Lozano
Let’s Eat Grandma 7.3 by Saby Reyes-Kulkarni
Lungfish 7.4 by Jason Heller

8.8

I told you

blm mentioned in the first sentence.

Reminder: Whatever albums on this chart are not reviewed by Pitchfork by 1 AM eastern time on Friday will be marked "BITCHFORK".

You forgot to attach the chart lol

imagine being a white indie band and having the writer just talk about current events shit and all their woke political nonsense in your review.

>white indie bands can't touch on political themes and ideas

nice one

Sup Forums will consider it a duplicate file and prevent me from attaching it again, since nothing happened to prompt editing the chart

haha fuuuck

not if you change the filename, nimrod.

You should have listened to me, guys.

this review is bullshit

>49 people died in what’s being called the deadliest mass shooting in U.S. history, after a gunman walked into a gay Orlando nightclub and opened fire. And just last week, the United Kingdom—where Hynes is from—voted to leave the European Union, sparking chants of racism from liberals.

>Freetown feels shaded by all these events

that didnt even happen when he was writing this album, how does this relate to the album in any way

You're on Sup Forums. Everyone is a nimrod.

Holy shit, didn't read it yet. That's egregious journalism.

it's a review, bub. it's criticism, not journalism.

this is like when biggie smalls rapped "blow up like the world trade" 7 years BEFORE 9/11 happened.

HOLY SHIT YOU GUYS, THEY DID IT

THEY FINALLY USED A FIRST-PERSON PRONOUN IN A REVIEW

>My in-laws—also from Freetown—speak reverently of the villages and family and friends who still live there.
>MY

its like a shooting star, to hide the humanity in the reviews like they usually do

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1993_World_Trade_Center_bombing

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Autism_Speaks

That's a component of modern music journalism, bub.

always confused why 4channers think this is the same thing as reporting the news. P4k is often pretty ungraceful in the way they bring up context, but it's totally necessary to a good discussion of art

God when did pitchfork become so clickbait-y

if you don't feel the zeitgeist right now, i don't know what to tell you.

Marcus J. Moore, the cuck that wrote the review.

haha right, critiquing the prose is for autists, its not like someone could possibly be interested in writing or be a writer themselves

you dont have to give a shit, i found it funny, because they always write in this impersonal way that tells you what youre going to feel instead of how the writer felt, with a bullshit air of authority

>feels shaded
>feels

There you go dude.

no, autismo. i meant the wtc joke this guy made went over your head. is this meta b8?

>because they always write in this impersonal way

do you even pitchfork?
pitchfork.com/reviews/albums/6656-kid-a/
it doesn't get more personal and subjective than that. the rap on pitchfork has never been that its too objective/impersonal.

that is me, its not bait, i cant read your tone through text, i dont know if youre an idiot or pretending, easy mistake to make on this stupid website

>written 16 years ago
>by Brent DiCrescenzo

brent was mostly fucking around, and they never had a writer like him ever again after he left, and that was also written before they had any clout as a review outlet

what is the best review and why is it the eminem show

Me reading this debate

>brent was mostly fucking around, and they never had a writer like him ever again after he left

dominique leone > brent

pitchfork.com/reviews/albums/368-untilted/

god i remember that one. just one giant GEB allusion. perfect.
they elevated the criticism over text itself. they were great once.

The new Blood Orange is so fucking good.

It's cause it's too new, if they made that list a year later it'd be top 6 definitely. joey purp would be on there too cause goddamn his tape is good
