Love that Ben Folds Five album. Doesn't get enough love.

roast me

Those are two of the weakest later Muddy Water albums.

i know, but i'm a slut for the first 5 tracks on After the Rain :'(

Not a good representation of everything I listen to, but does have a lot of my favorites. I'm a real nazi about getting first cd issues of albums, and I wouldn't buy discs by a band who released most of their music before cds existed

hipster

Roast me.

eh, you're not so bad

I bought these the other day from a goodwill

previous owner probably died

what makes you think that?

I am pleb no bully pls

Thats particularly what apartment owners do if the renter dies with unclaimed property. Otherwise I can't imagine someone just getting rid of those although I suppose used CD stores are really uncommon nowadays.

Used CD stores are relatively common in any major urban area.

You got the worst edition of White Pony.

Not from what I've seen although pawn shops are prevalent and could possibly give good money for those.

where do you shop at? those cd stickers look eerily similar to a store i shop at

I live in California, so maybe things are different here, but I know ones in SF, Oakland, San Lorenzo, Sacramento, Eureka, Davis, LA, Alameda, etc. Amoeba and Rasputins are the only one big ones though.

Oh, and Berkeley of course

Ultramega OK is absolutely wonderful. So are most of those but still.

I don't like Back To School too much anyway, I think Feiticeira works better as an opener. Never heard The Boy's Republic to be honest

I'm in Texas and that industry has changed drastically in the last 15 years. I saw the very last record store close in Denton although maybe they've got another one since then.

Austin there are still places but only a couple and I don't believe a single store devoted to that like it used to be with CD Warehouse, etc.

Cool swans CDs. Pretty good taste.

>Not from what I've seen
Used CD stores are pretty much everywhere. If you can't find one near you, you aren't looking.

In Austin there really aren't. I have to go all the way downtown just to find a record store and like I said there are literally zero stores anymore that are devoted to used CDs like the way it used to be with tons of them.

I love CD's! They make the best coasters to sit my beer on.

i could shoot two more about this size but these are my favorites atm

Get to Heaven is p cool, thought about copping it a lil while ago, but didnt

+AtD-i, Incubus, Tool, RatM
i like nu metal a lot but fsr never really cared for Deftones

i could see vinyl records serve as cutting boards at best

I like CDs c:

then cds nutz ;o

:D

>Amadou & Mariam
aaaah yeah, that's my shit

didn't you post this weeks ago?

>Big Black albums on CD
do you want to see Albini weep?? doesn't he cuss you out for buying digital on the back cover of the Songs About Fucking CD?

> doesn't he cuss you out for buying digital on the back cover of the Songs About Fucking CD?
As I recall there's nothing but a song list on the back cover and the one page liner note insert is a very long paragraph about he fucks a lot of women, as i recall.

oh you're right there's one little line

He is absolutely not talking about buying digital I guarantee you. He's talking about recording and absolutely not for the reasons most people think like sound quality, etc.

I have more vinyl records than CDs

what's good you rock band 2 lovin' motherfucker

I still play RB3 from time to time on PS3. I absolutely love THD and Megasus, I also have it in vinyl.

well he's not talking about digital files, that's for sure - they weren't even a distribution option back when that album was released on CD
what he is talking about is how analog quality is much superior to what you'll hear on CD (a digital format). he's gone on record saying he agonizes over the master for the vinyl release, and basically just tosses off the CD one - because he's such a stalwart analog supporter, he just figures, "what's the fucking point? they aren't going to hear THAT anyway."

>he is talking about is how analog quality is much superior to what you'll hear on CD
he's not

first clue is "the future belongs to"

he's speaking literally

>because he's such a stalwart analog supporter
which has literally nothing to do with sound quality or anything even remotely related to that.

you german?
don't get me wrong but you have some godawful taste right there

>the black keys
Fuckin dropped.

>you german?
yee
>don't get me wrong but you have some godawful taste right there
thanks!

Got roughly 400 CDs and 150 records and about 10 tapes. Got more CDs by The Gathering alone than you have total by the look of things.

It was the Rich Mans 8 Track compilation CD where he tears into digital (I mean c'mon, just look at the title, duh)

But he released it, obviously he has no problem releasing on digital because he is one motherfucker that doesn't do a damn thing with his music he doesn't want to. He just felt at the time it was a scam to get consumers to re buy releases they already had, and his feelings about digitals sound versus analogs is pretty well documented

Also find the letter he wrote to Nirvana about his conditions for recording In Utero, it's a great read

>Doughboys, Playboys and Cowboys
>about 90% of the rest

nice picks, user.

would love to chill and drink beer at your pad and listen to with / 10

Nick Cave. You can't go wrong with that. Great collection!

I also have Radiohead - Kid A and Violent Femmes Self-titled coming in on Thursday

Extended of

Fixed

Nice XTC, and collection in general
can dig some of that
this is a shit picture, had to resize it, and i'm still working on my collection. CD's are great.

WHO BROUGHT ME HERE

last month's buys

digipak > jewel case, by the way

All Lithuanian hiphop.
2/3 are underground no label releases. This shit will skyrocket in value in a few years.

what's the metal case? a fabric cd?

where can I find this issue, scanned or physical?

I checked ebay and torrentz

Idk, it's just a CD with a metal case. I'm not sure what a fabric CD even is.

fair enough! fabric is a club in london and has huge series of dj mix cds packaged in metal cases exactly like your one

was curious since yours seemed to be missing the card outer, but i guess generic metal cd cases are a dime a dozen

This one is cooler because it's got some etching on it.

i have Kicking Against The Pricks on vinyl as well

I am jealous of that Cure collection

you listen to meme music and seem to have no individual taste.

This man speaks the truth

Have you ever heard of shelves?

Nice XTC collection, BTW.
