just a little bit too much tryhard
Nothing except for Pharrell.
Considering they won a bunch of grammy awards for it, I'd say nothing went wrong.
Nothing.
That album is miles ahead anything you will ever do in your life.
Nothing, it's a good album
Certainly wasn't what many of us expected/wanted, but damn it was good.
Best Daft Punk album . idk why people hate on it
This is the album they're going to sample on their next record which will be a more traditional daft punk record in terms of style
Would've been better if get lucky and lose yourself to dance weren't on the album or were just bonuses added onto the end.
They destroy the mood of the album imho famalam
After the hackjob that was Human After All they should refrain from using samples ever again
Lose Yourself to Dance is like the best thing on that album tho
DP originally wanted Michael Jackson to record those tracks.
Since he croaked before the album was recorded, they had to improvise with Pharrell.
Its their best album
What is the best song and why is it Beyond?
That's honestly a real shame, with all respect to Pharrell
Meh, it was good but too long for what it was and too repetitive.
Fair. That groove is tasty though
Why did they have to break their cover pattern with the stupid helmets
Really is. It was one of the few issues I had with the album.
I originally thought the same thing, but when you consider how different it was from their older albums it sortof made sense. Not like how BBNG did it and shit on the aesthetic they had.
The length being the issue, not the groove***
very good album..my favourite song is the one with G.Moroder
Because this isn't a real Daft Punk album
Look they got to where they were by making songs with samples of other songs that are in the style of the songs on RAM
Their next album will be the daft punk logo again and it will be a more traditional daft punk record using samples from RAM
>too repetitive.
that's Daft Punk though
>what is Discovery
>That album is miles ahead anything you will ever do in your life.
I cringe every time someone says shit like this
>Human After All
>bad
when will this meme die?
Daft Punk? Repetitive? Pshhh.... I have no idea what you're talking about
youtube.com
its funny how all the examples i can think of are from discovery
Releasing More Shit after Discovery
>from discovery
Literally every song on Homework is extremely repetitive. I mean that's sortof the point but still.
...
Human After All is obnoxious like the most abrasive tracks of Homework, but lazier
>Human After All = Homework
the two are very different albums?
My man, Homework paved the way for so many albums that we now love.
I can see why someone would think that, but it gets me going every time I listen to it :)
Without homework their would be no Disclosure
>Best Daft Punk album
Pharrell is what made the album worth while
motherboard.
a masterful work of prod
alot of songs in the first half of the album are about twice as long as they should be. then again daft punk are technically house...
are you implying that would be a bad thing
i could care less about their music nowdays but i used to and still absolutely ADORE their remixes from the 90s
apart from that and homework stuff nothing they've made past that point can even compare to Justice
human after all was not sample-based though
>solidified their irrelevance FIVE years ago
>1 good album
>b-but muh planisphere
justice is beyond dead
nothing really. you are just not able to accept change in artistic style.
the "sterility" people complain about is just Thomas being a perfectionist and a good artist.
p sure robot rock was the only one with heavy usage of sampling, and that's one of their most popular tracks
>too repetitive

I actually agree that AVD wasn't all that good but Cross is truly a work of art that will be remembered for years to come.
Maybe 15-20 years from now it will be rediscovered by future generations who'll fully appreciate it
