kek desu

It was me he recommended MPP to, not you.

Thanks for the rec, but yeah I have heard (and love) MPP (I've heard all Anco albums).

Your chart is 99% Sup Forumscore but MPP is not on your list so I thought you just haven't heard it for some reason.

...

>NO
what'd i ever do to you man.

I rec you The Pavillion of Dreams by Harold Budd

>Pretty good get some Talking Heads in there
Thanks. I've had Fear of Music on my chart for a while (which is my favorite Talking Heads record) but I've removed it recently because I just don't really listen to Talking Heads anymore. I was a huge fan pf them for a long time but I want this chart to reflect on my current taste.

yes I am alone also so we can get freaky baby

i hate the antlers but you've got some good stuff besides that.thanks for the rec

i feel that. gotta keep it current. you ever seen stop making sense?

I remember recommending you Robbie Basho's Visions of the Country in a previous thread. You should listen to it if you haven't.

>you ever seen stop making sense?
That live footage was actually what got me into the band. I'm really sad that we never get to see them live, they had so much energy on stage. Really seemed like a cool show.
youtube.com/watch?v=OVHNwBbkSj4

Is Divers your favorite Joanna Newsom record?

they're recommendations that weren't originally made with you in mind but think of it as an experiment

:)

oh shit OP here was it you who rec'd me that icebreaker record because that was a great rec i appreciate it

What's your personal Top 10's? Like the top 10 albums that mean the most you personally, not just the ones that are musically superior.

Thought i was making a new thread, woops.

oh nice! it kinda reminds me of duster, i think that's why i recommended it to you
it was apparently commisioned by "NATOarts", i just found out. pretty funny
natoarts.com/

Oh man I fucking love the live version of life during wartime. Definitely wish i could've been alive to see them back in the early 80s

Yeah it is, the main reason for Divers over HOOM/Ys has to do with cohesiveness. I really value how something feels from start to finish, even though you could argue HOOM has more ideas its two fucking hours, far too long for her style IMO. Ys while great doesn't feel as personal as her other two releases. I think of Ys as more of an abstract painting, not necessarily a true representation of Joanna's personality (which i think is worthy of musical expression). Divers is the middle ground; its got fresh ideas, personality, poetic story type songs similar to Ys. It feels like a perfect blend of what she's done previously as well as new ideas. Also whats really really great is the runtime. I feel the album is not too long or too short, really the perfect length for what she was trying to do. Overall I think its her most focused and clear headed work, Im pretty shit at articulating myself on why I love my favorite albums but fuck it I guess you just gotta try. Whats your take on Joanna?

thanks champ, I will check all of these out here shortly.

>warioland 4

Rec me pls, I will rec some others...soon

Rec pls.

Whats the name of the album with the frog at the bottom?

Boris - Amplifier Worship

Try some TTNG
Sun kil moon/Jesu
Immortal - pure holocaust
Try some crystal castles

>Whats your take on Joanna?

I love all her releases and I think HOOM is her best album musically but I enjoy Divers more. I like how short and cohesive Divers is. I usually listen to it in one sitting while I can't do that with HOOM.

You tried Yume Bitsu?
thanks pal
Try Loren Connors and Pram
>I wish your fucking mother could be here to see this.jpg
I really don't
Jim O'Rourke - Halfway to a Threeway
I don't care about musical superiority at all so I suppose my personal top 10 would be pretty much the same as my current top 10
Tortoise
Unwound
Can
Olivia Tremor Control
Mercury Rev
Tim Buckley

what are you trying to say

shiggys
>rodan
have listened, thanks for the rec though.

get on those Sup Forums essentials chum, whatever the fuck they are now a days. something something Radiohead

thats just a really uncommon red onion. why do you like it best anchoooo?

What do y'all recommend

I mean to be fair each of their first four are 10/10s for me, but I just find myself being able to listen to Loaded more consistently song for song than the others. They're all 10s for different reasons. Loaded is just very soft/pop rock, almost easy listening. Very feel good and melodic. It's why those other 3 are in my top 4 as well, they just always are nice to take walks around campus to.

Plus I don't really use my charts as top 50s in exact order. For instance, do i specifically like Chet Baker's album more than Smile Sessions? Debatable. It's all kind of amorphously thrown together.

getting some taste! zing!

Any reccs are appreciated.
