Damn I thought I was the only one who liked it.
Kool

It may be proto-buttrock, but it's still a great album
the rest of their discography is kinda meh though
fuck forgot pic
I love Nine Inch Nails, did not like this album.
>calling nine inch nails buttrock
Nu-male who non-ironically watches the NBA and has serious discussions about the merits of Drake/Frank Ocean's music detected
NIN was never buttrock.
Nickleback, 3 doors down, papa roach etc. is buttrock.
See
As buttrock as 3 Doors Down is, I can't ever seem to hate them. Am I a pleb?
Yes, it's called buttrock for a reason
Sup Forums isnt actually random
/x/ isnt actually spooky, just autistic
/news/ contains everything but news
/soc/ is the most unsocial board
/r9k/ doesnt have real robots

...
¯\_(ツ)_/¯
to me, it doesn't have the same vibe as Nickelback, Creed, Theory of a Deadman etc
that album is great
>inb4 21 pilots
...
...
this is what I came to see
I'm unironic, it's way better than chocolate starfish
I consider it their best album
10/10 hands down. An absolute banger of a record.
I do not care what Sup Forums says about her, I enjoy her music and I enjoy this album.
That's it, the truth has been spoken everyone.
Game over guys, game over. Sup Forums can be deleted now.

Great Misdirect is better in every way though. I think they turned up the corny-ness a bit too high on parallax 2.
>TGM
>Better in every way
Wow I hope you're trolling because you have to be literally brain damaged to actually think this
:(
I'm not. I think the whole albums flows better. It's not as over the top, it's heavier...minus desert of song. I think it's heavily under appreciated.
tb.h i like parallax hypersleep dialogues sound alot more than parallax 2. Parallax 2 would have sounded better to me if it ended after Telos.
>TGM
>flows better
>than Parallax 2
good point
Disagree. Aside from mirrors/obfuscation the tracks on misdirect don't flow into one another near as well as on parallax, and as for intra-song flow, parallax 2 is where btbam finally figured out how to make the heavy death riffage work in context with the more melodic bits instead of just being random departures into brutality
Disease Injury Madness is better than anything on Parallax 2 (or anything else they've done) by far but as a whole album misdirect just doesn't stand up
point taken. I think mirrors>obfuscation>disease injury madness is the best string of songs in their discog.
I like parallax 2 but i always lose interest after the surf rock breakdown on Bloom. Melting City and Silent Flight Parliament don't do anything for me.
I completely agree with you. I was disappointed with Parallax 2. I thought Pt 1 was perfect but Pt 2 was very dull imo.
Yeah I'll give you that, those tracks are very forgettable
>Sup Forums isnt actually random
This. I discovered this place through Sup Forums and it's incredible how fast that place becomes boring.
I agree with the other guys.
For me, it would've been almost any album but TGM.
I loved PII, which was great because I had been listening to PI quite a lot (although Alaska is my favorite)
I wish they would do another album like Alaska where all the songs stand alone
I wouldn't be surprised if thats what they did next; take a break from the more concepty and prog stuff. Would be kinda cool. Tommy used to also do a little more variations in his growls/screams back then.
>BTBAM
>Flow
Oh man
Agreed, not that it's their BEST album (Colors always wins) but it is a great album by a great band, through and through. Certainly underrated here. I'd call it their second best and that's saying a shit load.
Even though I'd put TGM at number three or so, Desert of Song is one of the most underrated songs of their career.
>Melting City and Silent Flight Parliament don't do anything for me.
How on earth, those are the best songs on the album. Silent Flight Parliament is anyway, but Melting City is still close.
>Melting City
>Good
Tell me exactly what's wrong with it.
Wrong, Sup Forums only likes music if its relatively unknown and is 'le quirky randumb XDD'
Melting city and sfp are the best on the album?
Was your copy of P2 missing half the tracks or something?
Let's see there's Lay Your Ghosts To Rest, Extremophile Elite, Telos, and perhaps Astral Body, which are the only songs you could practically argue are better than Melting City, and I would still have melting city in the top three or four. None of them are better than SFP.
>history
>humanities
>board
...
and im not proud
You're way over-rating sfp
The last few minutes of it are too notch but the rest of the song is really nothing special
Melting city isn't even worth mentioning, nothing memorable or exciting in that song at all. It's just there to move the plot forward
Fair enough, but I genuinely find everything from the "creep in before the rise of the sun" section to be a top highlight of the album. As for Melting City that middle instrumental section is a highlight for me too.
