Nah, you forgot Skrillex and every generic House producer ever.

i live in southern new york and it's not like that picture

Except house music originated from America

i don have a girl frenn

>every electronic producer ever.

Thats the point.

the best electronic artists are American

Britfags BTFO

>dropping out of the EU because nobody else knows the difference between future garage and 2-step

electronic music is shit anyway, you can keep it

>the best electronic artists

You know you are proving OPs image right? Right?

when did you grow out of idm, Sup Forums?

aphex twin
>boring, repetitive beats
>stupid "lol so randumb" aesthetic
>anti-vaxer

autechre
>gay for eachother probably
>literally just noise/fart sounds
>they like young thug

squarepusher
>doesn't have the fastest drums
>dumb retard face
>stupid, nonsensical name

boards of canada
>sappy emotional pandering
>le "nostalgia :(((" meme
>a fucking leaf

VS

twenty one pilots
>intriguing, introspective lyrics
>genuine emotion
>confuses plebs like fantano
>multiple genres, incredible skill with merging them
>real instruments
>hit singles

it doesn't matter because my post is still true

Your point is irrelevant you dumb pardner.

Chicago to be exact

And Techno started in Detroit and Garage came from New York.

lol uv'e never had ses

It's not irrelevant

American electronic artists > Britland/EU electronic artists

garage has been so co-opted by the UK though, and early on. i'd scarcely call 'one dude making shifty sounding house' the origins of garage

>'''''electronic'''''

where do i find a jacket like the one that the IDM dude is wearing?

ses

Oh you're one of those autistic faggots who needs to separate his music in 29 different subgenres

yes, that is what I said. thanks for making it green u fucking autist.

The Burlington Coat Factory

>not like post-industrial quasi-saturated modulated meme-core with blackened pseudo-synchronic blasts

fucking nerd

Different music has different names because its different yes, that makes sense.

Electronic is just the means of production.

Yeah, worked out how retarded you were ages ago.

well, yeah, but it's hardly many americans fault as there isn't really much (good) club culture here unless you live in la/san fan, miami, detroit, or nyc. this matters because a lot of dance music is made to function in clubs - think dubstep (the real sort) or harder/dj tool style techno - as it benefits not only from a better system but also in taking place in a social or communal setting.

honestly, had we embraced techno/house and it's producers back in the 80s instead of shunning it (cause racism) then we'd be much better off wrt club culture imo.

ive only posted in this thread for a couple minutes tho???

electronic != club music only

yeah, i was speaking about a certain aspect because it's generally club/dance music that americans are really clueless about. pop, hip-hop, and even industrial have a much bigger base.

>Illmatic

great chart

I disagree with stars of the lid though
I know they use a lot of guitar pedals but I was under the assumption that album was recorded mainly with traditional instruments

probably wrong though

also I would replace Merzbow with something good like Yellow Swans

>electronic
>albums
kill yourself

>rap
>taylor swift
>katy perry

What are you, dense?

What the fuck am I looking at here

electronic != club music only

A chart of different electronic music albums.

why are the bleep threads so shit on here?

Sometimes I wonder if I'll ever encounter another American that's into jungle

replace Merzbow with OPN

Hey

Americans think electronic is a genre.

Americans think this genres is just house, techno, drum and bass or IDM.

Wow I almost fell for the b8 up to Autechre

why do yall have such a complex about why americans don't like electronic music as much as you? The people who have been into rap for the last 30 years here are probably the same people that have been into electronic music over there. you have idm, we have experimental hip hop. you have grime, we have gangster rap. Do i care if you know the difference between bounce, trap, miami bass, crunk, hyphy, boom bap and g funk? Not really...

All the stuff for Autechre is true though

Hip hop is electronic music too.

Hi. Guess I can check that off the bucket list.

>unintelligent dance music or intelligent dance music
Pretty accurate dichotomy if you ask me.

ok I know this is bait but
>implying 21 pilots doesn't use le nostalgia meme
I did kek at aphex twin being anti vaxer

Which side does Stockhausen go?

>dance music is a dichotomy
Bait

>all electronic music is dance music
Bait

What genre is this? Glitch ambient?

youtu.be/91PNuZeMo88

>stimulates the brain
>can dance to it
IDM is it!

discogs.com/Jon-Hopkins-LateNightTales/master/805674

What about Kanye?

>implying BoC is IDM

>implying that IDM is a real thing
