judge the chart above yours
Judge the chart above yours
shitty
shitty
probably shittier than mine
all shitty
Slow, boring, and ultimately shitty
>has nirvana, U2, and RATM on his chart
>pretends to know what any of the albums on my chart are
>expects to be taken seriousl-
oh this is bait
so/so
actually kinda like yours
2comfy
narrow-minded
oh hey Hungry Ghosts, I thought I was the only person on here who knew about them
Bottomless Pit is not as great as you think it is.
Lift Yr. Skinny fists is better than F# A# Infinity, but still maybe not as good as you have listed.
The woamn-pig album is good.
The trout mask-looking album should be higher. Maybe even #3.
Get rid of GKMC and maybe J Dilla.
Also you must've forgotten the order. It goes liek this, man: Tago Mago > Future Days > Ege Bamyasi.
i didnt know this thread was for "meme" charts
pretty edgy, kinda memey, but I like it
prog rockish, I can dig it
idk shit on your chart. good taste I guess?
some would say "plebian" but you know what you like, so thats a plus
good
>trout mask replica
you've outmemed OP, congrats :P
Like Clockwork is really good, so is Spiderland, Daydream Nation, Welcome to Sky Valley and the Blue Album
Illinoise is ok
not a big fan of St. Vincent, James Blake, or Childish Gambino
I have to listen to Mars Volta still
if your more into post-rock, I would probs start with frances the mute. If your more of a prog-rock guy, start with deloused in the comatorium.
Seems like a good person
i guess i'll check Frances the Mute out, thanks
thanks m8, you seem pretty cool too
first went on Sup Forums 2 days ago
good taste in post-rock
interesting collection of stuff, nick drake is great
great ferraro pick, swirlies and simon finn too
what's going on here
good choice for a can album, folsom prison is great too
respect for bowery electric and gastr del sol too, just noticed those as well
Great taste
George Stavis - Labyrinths
Well-developed taste
Just threw this together, first time making a chart actually, be nice :)
Fuck how could I forget DSOTM and ITAOTS
I'm guessing you're in high school, in which case you have pretty good taste for your age. You're interests will expand as you get older and you'll probably end up with good taste as an adult.
Also I can't really judge this, I've literally only heard Pet Sounds (10/10) and Wildflower (7/10), I'm a pleb lol
Just out of high school, actually 19
You should try listening to genres you normally wouldn't then. Everything you have is good but its all pretty similar
Any recs?
Thanks for the rec, your taste is really good too. Mahmoud Ahmed is great as well as the Phil Spector related projects.
You should check out:
U Ba Than - Basic Method In Music Volume 1
some recs:
childish gambino - because the internet
iron and wine
sufjan stevens - carrie and lowell
whitney - light upon the lake
something tells me you might like lcd soundsystem
you might like phantogram too
I already know and like Because the internet, LCD soundsystem, iron and wine and Phantogram. I've been meaning to check out Sufjan.
>Meme emo, meme screw muh american primitivism
First day on rym?
Listen to some Disco Inferno, Oceansize, Silver Jews, Codeine, Jim O'Rourke, Current 93, Can, Nick Drake, Denzel Curry, James Ferraro
Will check them out, thanks!
Wow this is like the Pitchfork starter kit
Get your own taste faggot
How is DJ Screw a meme? That EP is great and far from a meme. "Muh" isn't an argument/point.
Also what's the point of posting if you're going to poorly cast criticisms that aren't even valid
check out Pink Floyd's Meddle, Darkness on The Edge of Town, Turn on The Bright Lights, Exile on Main Sreet, Steely Dan's Aja
Jesus dude, it's so much easier to be constructive, just give a recommendation instead of being a huge cunt lol
Thanks
Okay fine
Of you haven't already you should listen to the Velvet Underground
Musette - Datum
Gastr Del Sol - Camofleur
The Rayman MacDonald International Big Band - Buddy
The Fantastic Plastic Machine - S/T
>Swirlies
Nice.
Disgusting
>Huey Lewis & the News - Fore!
A lot of stuff commonly talked about on Sup Forums, try listening to stuff people rec in sharethreads and in other threads that you've never heard of, I'm kinda guilty of this too but I'm a newfag
Oh you'll probably also like Sonic Youth and My Bloody Valentine
All the people I know that enjoy DJ screw just listen that record and actually have the exact taste you have, and funny enough won't listen any other cns or his influences or hip hop seems like they just do it to look eclectic
I have, love Heroin, Sunday Morning, Sweet Jane, I'm waiting for the man.
Thanks I'm pretty new as well :)
Thanks for the recs
Check out some Fishmans live albums, Omar Khorshid, Unwound, Magma, Henry Cow, Divine Styler, Ryo Fukui, Sun Ra, Sweet Smoke, Natural Snow Buildings, Robert Wyatt
omg a massive shig to you mate. I hope you are 16
>Corneilus - Fantasma
>Nina Simone - Wild is the Wind
>King Crimson - Beat
>Donald Byrd - Stepping Into Tomorrow
>Pan American - Quiet City
>Titus Andronicus - The Airing of Grievances
>Don Caballero - Don Caballero II
Fuck, meant for
Quite Sup Forums, you've got your own touches though.
Liking the Deltron, FlyLo, Avalanches, Burial, Neutral Milk, Kendrick.
Not liking so much Death Grips
Everyone here has shit taste
Pic related is my favorite album
Actually no it's this
I have 200+ screw tapes and personally really enjoy chapters 70, 137, 16, 119 and Bigtyme Vol. II. In terms of other hip hop I'm also into memphis stuff (as well as the revival but less so). The reason all screwed up 2 is the only one up there is because I happen to prefer the other present albums over the other screw stuff.
3 n the morning part two** (not all screwed up)
Thanks for the recs
How come the posters here just like whatever critics like in order to be eclectic
If you have no preferences you have no taste
Pretty good, you've taken stuff from Sup Forums, but you don't bathe in it. Grimes is especially contrarian. Diverse amount of genres too.
I think you're confusing having a wide range of things you enjoy with appealing to authority. Liking over 3 genres is not liking "whatever critics like"
Yeah but it's always the most entry-level/promoted/Pitchfork approved stuff
tbqh if you're into music you should listen to every genre, just happens these people are in the early stages of expanding there taste
Mine () is basically Sup Forums circa 2010 lol.
I don't know a lot of these, but Mr. Bungle is great.
It seems that you like a lot of indie folky stuff, if you haven't yet, I'd recommend that you check out Trampled By Turtles (most similar to ajj, very bluegrassy)
In particular their album Palomino.
I guess depending on the person you're right. I share the sentiment when I see people shill Grimes and other really mediocre pop acts
Thinks he's incredibly special for his music taste
is afraid to smoke weed
Average beta
has used the hashtag #blacklivesmatter before

I really liked Topsters...it appears to have been deleted. Anyone know what happened / a good alternative?
...
most uncomfortable chart there is
How is that uncomfortable?
nailed it
Yep, music taste is one of the things I pride myself in.
Pathetic, but it's better than what I took pride in before, which is nothing.
judge me
YOUNG SQUAD UNITE

posted the wrong chart
i started it like a year ago but never finished
ill give it another shot
really similar to my music taste actually good job
...
My only recommendation is to go further back into Swans's discography, and maybe check out the Angels of Light
You're like a dad
but a really cool dad
you are my fucking dude. Anyone that likes Acid Bath is automatically cool.
Interesting stuff in there. Although I can tell you follow Scaruffi, because of TVU, The Red Krayola, Vampire Rodents, and Beefheart. Which is fine, but seems kinda odd that you liked a lot of things he recommends. Whereas Eccojams is the best Vaporwave album, however it suffers from shit pacing and too many tracks.
I haven't listened to that version of Loveless. Is it a live album or something? Everything else is acceptable and passable imo.
I don't really know what to recommend to you as you have a taste that is sort of more niche then mine, but that's fine.
...
I generally like the albums I recognized in your chart. Though, Swans/Slint/Kid A make me feel like you listen to albums I would deem pretentious.
You love that dinosaur emo don't you?
I fucking love radiohead but it seems pointless to put a band's whole discography
I like Salads Days and Funeral too though
