any1 else having problems with clypit only actually recording like the first 3 seconds?
Camden Harris
I guarantee it sounds horrible
Andrew Murphy
I just upload shit there, way easier
John Price
post a more versatile guitar.
pro tip: you can't
Henry Gonzalez
Can anyone link me a video of what jag pickups sound like in a strat?
Really curious and can't find anything.
Juan Stewart
This is probably almost as versatile
Bentley Hughes
they certainly can do a lot. they just aren't articulate enough for my taste.
David Cox
...
Camden Moore
>isn't a Gibson les paul >is versatile Pick one. It's not versatile if it never sounds good.
Jacob Russell
oh so was bait. okay
Hunter Brown
i like to live on the edge tho
Andrew Phillips
see It can't be considered versatile unless it has the same tones and control scheme as a Gibson led paul. And only Gibson les pauls can do that. idiot
Carter Gutierrez
Is this b8?
Chase Ward
i dont know how i feel about this song. it sounds like a bunch of songs and genres mashed up together
>that montage of mundane looking politicians set to guitar riffs, hard rock and trumpets followed by a guitar solo heh
Chase Thomas
>that montage of mundane looking politicians set to guitar riffs, hard rock and trumpets followed by a guitar solo >heh pandering of the highest order
Julian Lee
>thin plank of shitwood >no-sustainĀ® bridge >versatile nice try faggit
>not 2 volume, 2 tone try again. And this time, use your brain?
Leo Phillips
>thin plank of shitwood doesn't matter, it is an electric. I bet you also believe heavier guitars have better tone and that tonewoods matter. Top kek, goodest goy >no-sustainĀ® bridge Nice meme
Meanwhile on the Gibby's side >2 humbuckers >short scale >fat neck that slows you down >versatile
Leo Bennett
no. because your argument is baseless
Nolan Myers
>what is push pull try again. And this time, use your brain?
Christian Thomas
...
Camden Anderson
do you even know what a piezo is?
Aaron Brooks
>trumpets its a full horn section. but yes that video montage is shit
Isaac Russell
nice! Does pulling your pot switch out your pickup, body, and bridge for something not shit? Got me there
Jaxson Butler
>fat neck that slows you down Hahahahah are you serious?
Cooper Perez
you just wanna shitpost huh
Christian Stewart
Before you say anything, this has bridge + neck available.
Brody Clark
>trusting the gibson jew Why pay over 4k for a gibson custom shop when a SX gives you the same quality and in cherryburst like Jimmy Page's guitar for less than 200 bucks?
Aiden Russell
>same quality
Wyatt Brooks
>strat pickup >not completely worthless I said more versatile, not exactly the same but more confusing >no binding Wew, I'm sure you get GREAT resonance and sustain with THAT.
Always miss the beat. It's called "syncopation," look it up.
Josiah Green
I love Rondo posts so much
Liam Campbell
Hi Steve
Carter Green
>I don't know what resonance is
Start collecting some more money and get at least a tube preamp one, they do nice combos too
Alexander Baker
What's /gg/'s favorite cheap solid state amp?
Hudson Cox
>blah blah resonance It's called binding for a reason. It's what keeps the tone in. More tone = more sustain = more resonance
Brody Smith
>inb4 none
Ian Watson
Marshall 8100.
Kayden Fisher
MIA 80s to 90s Peavy
Luis Hughes
I'd say that too, the lead follows the drum in that case, it's a much more rythmic approach to it. Think about staccato too, it adds much more depth to your sound than people think, everyone's always talking about legato, but a good staccato can add in that little extra thing.
Justin Young
me too, that's why I make them BTW some rondos are incredibly aesthetic. Staring at pic related is like listening to a slowed down Pages song to me. Listen to this at 0.5x and you'll get it. youtube.com/watch?v=kGCmKwAvhVg
James Torres
Fuck off spic, you're probably the one posting the shit "funk metal" band too
Julian Harris
Okay /gg/, I've got an actual question for you. A friend of mine wants to get into playing either guitar or bass. He's undecided which he wants to do yet, though.
Do you have any suggestions as to a decent budget option(s) for both but especially guitar? I don't want to recommend something to him that'll make him hate it, nor do I want him to wind up spending way more than he has to.
Julian Hughes
Get a used one from a pawn shop. Some squier from the nicer lines.
Jason Russell
>nuno bettencourt >shit ok bud. theres a difference between not liking something because it isnt your style and calling a talented guy shit
Dylan Howard
>nuno bettencourt literally who
Juan Lee
>you literally who
Jonathan Anderson
Depends on wich aspects of music he likes most or he's more intrested in, roughly speaking rythm and general groove over harmony. But in the end it really depends on you
Jaxon Phillips
...
Landon Nguyen
well he's got his own signature guitar and amp, has sold millions of records, was asked to play guitar with rihanna and is currently touring with steve vai, zakk wylde and yngwie. so my guess is he's got something going for him
Connor Carter
This
Adrian Barnes
Rob Chapman has his own line of guitars, so what
Lucas Williams
anyone know can i upload covers on soundcloud?
Camden Barnes
you meme about arguments and then pick semantics to argue over. top stuff man. the difference between chapman and bettencourt is that bettencourt can actually play and has had a sig line that isnt korean made driftwood since the 80s
Dylan Morgan
He's one of the 3 artists with signature lines in washburn, a company currently struggling to survive. Along with Marzi Montazeri, another literal who.
Jacob Parker
Does anybody on the west coast know where i can get a Gibson SG with floyd rose tremolo
Benjamin Parker
Your point?
Lincoln Wright
That having a sig means nothing
Jaxson Ramirez
And the rest?
Alexander Ramirez
Post your rigs
>Gibson bass It might not be the most versatile bass guitar but god it sounds great
Angel Watson
hey Sup Forums i'm buying my first tube amp soon is there anything i should really know before buying one since i'm switching from solid state to tubes
David Bailey
How to turn it on without fucking up the tubes would be a good place to start.
Logan King
I've actually turned on my friend's tube amp without putting it on standby first a couple of times. How fucked am I user?
Charles Green
ur not
Colton Collins
How do I apply blues licks?
I know alot of licks, but I can't play them in rhythm with a song for some reason. Of couse, I'll know the progression and what chord is coming next, but I don't know what licks to play over what chord and on what beat.
Jacob Jackson
I meg pots on a stat.
Yes or no?
Aiden Nguyen
what did he mean by this?
Josiah Hughes
hey guy's I'm thinking about getting some effects for my guitar to play stuff like AM, QOTSA, Tame Impala and Mac Demarco. I think I might get a Big Muff, a Holy Grail and a Small Stone (last 2 both nano) are there better/similar/cheaper pedals that might get the sound I'm looking for? what would you recommend?
Jackson Jackson
A good Internet research on the basics of tube amps and personally try A LOT of different models out, there's many differences depending on the sound you wish to achieve, even varying the tubes can give you different sound properties. I'd say don't buy anything you haven't personally listened playing, recordings often sound misleading
Hunter Taylor
will they literally explode?
& my friend was telling me something about not having any hope of getting a good tone out of a tube amp unless the volume is cranked up as high as possible in order to warm up the tubes or something a specific tube amp i'm looking at is a bugera 6260 infinium combo. i'm only scared to buy something really good because of my lack of knowledge of tube amps and how to keep them working without potentially wrecking them
Ian Hughes
I meant follow thru on why you think he's a shit player besides the fact that he and rob chapman both have signature guitars.
Chase Sullivan
nah those are all solid and pretty cheap both new and used. you can get away with a nano big muff, too. fyi if you like the sound of russian big muffs get the new bass big muff which is essentially the same thing.
Cameron Smith
also check out the bad stone. i think it's the same price as the small stone but has more knobs to fiddle with.
Camden Evans
damn user I just heard the bass big muff and it sounds kinda similar to QOTSA and some Tame Impala tones, nice tip!
Tyler Clark
I didn't say he's a shit player, I said the music you posted is shit. I don't give a fuck if the guy can play beethoven's 5th backwards on a monocycle, I care about what he composes. Which judging from what you posted here, is shit.
Julian Hughes
ok man. guess its just not your thing. did you listen to the second track tho?
Parker Smith
dubs says you should help me please
Luis Sanchez
It's called a unicycle, retard
Daniel Turner
well he did play nikolai rimsky-korsakov. dont know about the "monocycle" tho
I think you're technically supposed to get a mechanical license first. But it doesn't really matter unless you're some huge name, no one's going to come after you for it
Dylan Scott
You're gonna want to look at gatemouth brown, most of your playing will have to be chromatic. The trick is knowing where to start and where to stop.
Isaac Cooper
that's honestly really shitty
like good for him for being able to play it but its just so robotic and it isn't fun to listen to
that's the issue i have with shred - they play a lot of notes but none of them mean anything at all
Jayden Ross
thats the whole point of that solo bit in the beginning. thats why its called the flight of the wounded bumblebee and theres a metronome going. hes got a lot better solos but youre clearly not into shredding or virtuosos and theres nothing wrong with that my friend.
