Well there's every other R.E.M. album up until Document for starters. Don't forget Chronic Town either.

I have every good R.E.M album along with all albums by The Smiths, where do I go from here?

>I have every good R.E.M album
Which do you consider the good ones?

If you like early REM you should get The Feelies - Crazy Rythyns if you haven't already.

check out The Church - Starfish and The Sundays - Reading, Writing and Arithmetic

this single is also top mothafuckin tier jingle jangle

along with New Adventures in Hi-Fi, but haven't gotten around to downloading it yet

heard it, great album
thanks senpai

Right on, that's certainly not all the good ones, but it covers the essentials, except for the Chronic Town EP of course. In fact Chronic Town is probably the purest "jangle" the band ever did so if you haven't hopped on that then you should.

Also Eponymous and DLO.

The railway children

Great jangle from late 80's

It is time

I've heard Chronic Town, just again, haven't downloaded it yet
I just kinda went through a bunch of CDs my dad gave me, dude had good taste, Talking Heads, DEVO, Zappa, Kraftwerk, etc
dude was lucky enough to grow up in Athens during the alt and new wave boom
He claims to have partied with R.E.M, but who knows, he's drunk/high most of the time

proto-jangle, but great
September Gurls is GOAT

good shit

your taste is on point, not even just R.E.M, in general

>bump
also have no idea why jangle pop died desu
it's one of the best genres

How has this not been posted

there's only so much you can do with one guitar sound
>also tfw you have a humbucker and can't make jangle pop

oh I've got spurs

>mfw i can jangle on this

teach me your secrets user

>bumping one of the few good threads on Sup Forums

The Verlaines, The Chiils, The Bats, The Clean

flying nun basically

The Byrds.

The might lemon drops

fuck yeah, you know what's up

What about the shop assistants?

Cleaners From Venus - Midnight Cleaners
Close Lobsters - Foxheads Stalk This Land
The Dream Syndicate - The Days of Wine and Roses
Felt - The Splendor of Fear
The Soft Boys - Underwater Moonlight
The Wedding Present - George Best

And for a newer album with a Smiths-esque jangle:
The Organ - Grab That Gun

And if you want a successor (of sorts) to the genre, check out some twee stuff like these albums:
Another Sunny Day - London Weekend
Brighter - Laurel
The Sea Urchins - Stardust

What is it about Bill Berry that made R.E.M. take a full nosedive on quality after his departure?

dont miss out on the original janglers

youtube.com/watch?v=etjI6oLG_HA

less jangle and more power pop but the genres were pretty similar there for a stretch

Some Paisley bands incorporate it. Also, bands such as Teenage Fanclub and Velvet Crush. Also check out Pylon.
is on the money, as is Consider: youtu.be/CjDe-rFSLRY
