this isn't exactly controversial, even on Sup Forums

Why fuck it? That's a great album

this on the other hand

1st side: strong 8-light 9

2nd side: 5/6

overall 6-7/10

not great but certainly not mediocre. The A-side kicks ass doe

What did you guys think of bankrupt!?

I'd give it 6.5, not as catchy or organic as the first one.

this is accurate
forced electronics on riffs that felt played out and dull
they're never gonna top wolfgang amadeus or it's never been like that

stop spamming this every opportunity you get

hit the nail on the head

if you dont like this you need to get checkd m8

...

Ok, Anthony

...

This band as a whole.

Gossamer is also alright

Actually found it more catchy than Wolfgang

Love this album so much I don't even care what others say.

really? you're gonna miss it all is a much better album than holy ghost

thats a good album tho

I really love them all together, from what I've seen Sup Forums seems to just think they're a meme.

...

i mean they kind of are considering their tumblr popularity but they're fun, why not

You're one of the first I met on Sup Forums to like it and I'm glad someone agrees.

its good, its a one album band, that happened also with mgmt i think

Literally an icon of disco. Bernard Edwards goat bassist

I actually liked how Holy Ghost is more subtle than You're Gonna Miss It All

I liked the concept and the sound they acquired with those tacky chinesesque synths, actually I haven't come back to WAP since they released Bankrupt

Personally, Homework > Human After All > Discovery >>>> Random Access Memories

...

>more subtle
at what, being pop punk? not tryna be sarcastic but genuinely mystified at what you could mean by subtle

granted, not as good as sports or ygmia, but yeah pretty solid record.

this is like 7.5/10 embarrassing

surprised nobody's posted 21 pilots considering the amount of pilotposting that has been happening recently

dude Sup Forums seems to love Face Tat. I like Astrological Straits a bit more but that's a sick album

kys

yikes rly

I've not heard that much conversation around it here.
Also I've only heard necromancer from Astrological Straits (which is an incredible song). I've been meaning to listen to the album in full but I've been a little busy sadly.
Also yeah Face Tat is fucking great.

AS has a far better second half than its first but it's just as fun as Face Tat, and Necromancer is great

:^))))))))))

Opposite for me. The last four songs on WAP are my favorite part of the album. First side kicks ass too.

7/10

this isnt bad

>worst dcfc album
still really like it, feels like an album about wanting things that are inaccessible and it's a lot of simple song writing about insecurities and i also really like humming the baseline from i will possess your heart and thumb drumming on my steering wheel

Don't bother it's like five different people at this point

...

This is great man, only hated because it's way too popular.

>organic

What do you mean by this?

yes!!! you're the only other person i've met who will admit to actively liking this album, it's top tier

hell yeah man, behind transatlanticism, it's probably my favorite album by them

Not him but WAP has a lot of flow. There are fade outs that lead into the next song fading in, the album seems to get progressively sadder or more "real" as the songs progress.

Should you chose to look for them, you can find references to other songs, "fences in Rome" and a song called Rome, etc. but this is kinda weak.

Literally the best pop album ever

...

Even Sup Forums likes it though
Same
Gossamer is lovely for such an ok album (not really bothered to listen to Manners)
Some really good songs (IWPYH, Grapevine Fires, Cath) surrounded by inoffensive songs. Nothing amazing, but still nice.
Checked but wwhy?

agreed user, it was such a promising debut

...

objectively best phoenix album coming thru

Same

Everybody likes Phoenix and most love that album (which is awesome). It won a Grammy right?

Springsteen is literally the least hated artist on this board, this isn't controversial

WPSIA-era is too hot
AM is too cold
Humbug is just right

...

it was complete shit, 6.5 is overrating it

This sums up my experience with this album

accurate

is this bait? These are well-regarded albums.

Sorry, this is more like a 4/10. Her vocals are unimpressive and half the songs are duds.

this was one of the first "indie" albums i ever listened to, back in like 5th grade.

They're a real solid group, I've loved everything they've released so far.

No, this and Antidotes are both fantastic. What Went Down on the other hand...

who else Sup Forumsse?

youtube.com/watch?v=q2dTcE8bfPQ

>a mentally ill duckie. What's not to like?

>phoenix is a one album band
i thought that too, but if you look they've actually had a number of big hit singles. entertainment, too young, etc

This is one of my favorite albums ever, I don't understand the hate it got

Worst album my ass

Who says that? It's better than at least four of their others.

I love em all though.

>Who says that?

Before Heartthrob came out people said that a lot

Some still do

All albums are pretty tho

Its my favorite album of theirs

fuck it, l like it.

Tool

Shit, even before Heartthrob there was still UFLO and TBOA. What the fuck I've never heard anyone call IIWY their worst.

>one of the worst album covers ever
Still like it tho

What does Sup Forums think about Suck it and See? It's my favorite although Whatever will always have a special place in my heart. Also I like AM better than Humbug.

I'm in the minority, but I think that Suck it and See is a really great album. It's Humbug with less angst and more love.

I hated the album at first, it was the only Monkeys album I couldn't stand. It took me 4 months of listens until I gradually heard the beauty, song by song. I went from despising Black Treacle, Piledriver Waltz, and That's Where You're Wrong to making them part of my personal Top 10 AM songs

tl;dr: This album is a grower, and it's worth it

>One of the most fun bands on the planet
>Mad live shows
>Delightfully bizarre
>Incredibly high energy

I never thought I'd start unironically loving Babymetal so much but idc they are fucking great.

youtu.be/2IzR_ClTE8Y

it's a pretty good album actually
but i think it's their weakest one
