Melody's Echo Chamber - s/t
She dated Kevin Parker of Tame Impala for a while. Similar style. I think he plays the drums on this record. Cool stuff though.
Blouse - s/t
Pretty okay dream pop that doesn't get posted a lot. Worth a listen.
he plays guitar actually
cocteau twins perfected dream pop, best in the entire genre. entire discography is perfect
i'm pretty fond of lush and mojave 3 too. all the 4AD dream pop bands are cool.
beach house is good too
What are your favorite cocteau twins albums?
Good album
Personal Favorites:
Candy Claws - Ceres & Calypso in the Deep Time (Favorite DP Album)
Beach House - Depression Cherry/Teen Dream
The Radio Dept. - Living on a Scheme
love both these
im pretty sure he played a large proportion of the instruments, including drums guitar and bass
Victorialand and Blue Bell Knoll
But my favorite thing they've ever done is the EP Love's Easy Tears

Thank you I've been gong through there discography slowly over the past few months
no problem
they have a LOT of EP''s and non album tracks which are all very good, so check out the compilation Lullabies To Violaine Vol.1 & 2, which has all of them
Don't dismiss the post- HoLV albums either, both are very good
>Love's Easy Tears
Should I download the 2, 3 or 4 track version?
4 track, definitely.
Any dream pop albums that have the same "urban" feel as HoLV?
Pic related is my favorite dream pop album. It's less melancholy and more poppy than most dream pop so you will most likely like it if you love CT.
Also listen to A Sunny Day In Glasgow. They're a bit more shoegazy but they write some pretty damn poppy stuff. Sea When Absent and Planning Weed are really good stuff.
Not sure what you mean by urban. Like the very 80s-esque synths?

I dunno, just anything that sounds like it. I've listened to their earlier albums and they sound either too dark (Garlands, Blue Bell Knoll, Treasure) or too fluffy (Victorialand, Blue Bell Knoll). They're great on their own but not exactly what I'm looking for. Still have to listen to their later stuff but from what I've heard of them besides HoLV, "A Kissed Out Red Floatboat" is what comes the closest to what I want.
Maybe Grimes?

This is her only other work and I actually think it's better than anything on that album, although I still like that album.
