How do I get tinnitus without hearing loss Sup Forums?
I'm really into Noise and i think having a high pitch ringing sound in my ear permanently would be awesome. You might think I'm joking, but I'm not. It's like making the choice to get a tattoo, you only do it if you're committed enough. I've thought about it for a while, and i think I'd really like to do this.
holy shit this is the stupidest thing I have ever read

go to gigs and hear the ringing in your ears for 2 hours and see if you want to have that for a month straight

You're always going to be hearing worse when you have tinnitus. And also your brain will most likely start filtering out the sound through most of your daily activities. It's pretty much the dumbest idea I've ever had the pleasure of reading.

Hijacking this thread to ask for some warning signals as far as tinnitus goes. I like to listen to noise but I can't tell when it's getting too much. Any tips?
Brandon Flores
take some Ventolin

if it sounds too loud it probably is and is giving you hearing damage if you want to still listen to music when you're 50 don't waste your good ears now

The OP is a copypasta.
This. My advice is to start your TV, music player, whatever, at silent and turn it up until you can hear everything comfortably. I always turn the volume of the car stereo to zero before I turn it off to avoid blasting my ears the next time I drive.

I listened to earbuds for at least an hour a day every day from 2009 through now and now I hear a light hissing that's always there. If I never listen to headphones again now is it reversible or am I completely fucked?
