Not really my music type, but pretty good user, how did you discover them?

Locust Toybox, aka David Firth (the animator/artist).
youtube.com
He has like 10 albums, I never see any of them being discussed here.

Trophy Scars
why has none on here heard this masterpiece before? I never see Electric Larry Land Posted, and it's great for it's genre.
Best song from the album: youtube.com
whats that video going about
butthole surfers are huge. that track was on MTV all the time. great album though
Pretty good, I like the ethereal/singing part of it, the beat drums not so much
I think it'll grow onto me - thanks user
I'm not sure whether the song is making me happy or sad

Supertramp.

This is probably the weirdest thing I've seen in some time, but goddamn shes fantastic
It's the same band behind this cover

Dip in the Pool don't get any love, and they really deserve it
It's about a fictional Stagger Lee confronting police and being gunned down, but killing 3 cops in the process. How does that make you feel? In the album version of the song the concept of the album (reincarnation, and love through multiple lives) comes through with Mr. Lee being reincarnated once again.
Not really a hidden gem but this board never talks about John Carpenter's studio albums. This and the first Lost Themes are a must listen if you're a fan of moody synth music.
Shit, I forgot to post a track.
Here's John Carpenter, Cody Carpenter, Daniel Davies (he's John's Godson) and a few other guys performing the best track from Lost Themes II:

I really liked this band until they hooked up with danger mouse and became a taco bell meme
Supertramp usually gets mentioned when talking about prog and, if I'm not mistaken, is on the essentials charts
was first introduced to mountain in the clouds. Still some of the best drumming I've ever heard. Anyone know a band similar to that album.
why is danger mouse so shit? he honestly seems to be the most overrated guy in music atm, he makes everything bland as fuck
If you like Slowdive you should listen to Mono In VCF and Howling Bells.
This. His stuff is fantastic.
It's been said Aphex Twin's style is un-imitable, but somehow Firth not only does it, but adds his own style and textures to that. Fantastic music to fall asleep to. I think Stringland was the first album I ever bought on Bandcamp.
Is Demon Days the only time his production benefited an album instead of hindering it? I don't get why so many rock bands work with him. He isn't bad when it comes to hip hop but every time he produces a rock album he makes it too polished and slick.
>le hidden gem.
>DAE the 90's?
This is played on the radio all the time.
Interesting choice of theme for the video
Gnarls barkley, Danger Doom, Broken Bells are all solid & I hear Rome is good. Agree with you though
I don't think I've ever seen anyone talk about him here
liking these
also, is an amazing album.
I never see anyone post Nutty. Probably the best rapper to come out of Northern Ireland in a long time.
am i the only person who likes to play all the embedded youtube links at the same time in these threads? i've started recording the whole thing and making a playlist, am i schizophrenic?
Post the recordings.
lemme get them to an uploadable size.
soundcloud.com
that took me a minute.
The Datsuns
a kiwi hard rock/garage rock band
very much worth listening

Yeti - Interstellar Biplane

It's hard to find any information on these guys
It's extremely hard to really give you a clear picture of what this band is since within two albums, they cover quite a bit of ground in their sound. But here's one people like a lot.
>Dean Blunt
>artist Sup Forums never talks about
This is great, thank you very much, user.
bump
i'm insanely attracted to this girl. is that weird?
not that hidden but Sup Forums never talks about Danielson, probably because they're very openly a Christian band or the vocals.
nobody talks about it here because everything after Hairway to Steven is shit.
No, emika is just very beautiful, both in and outside. Also she does all of her work by herself, nobody helps her.
...
>is it weird that I...
LITERALLY KILL YOU'RESELF

damn, patrician taste too
