Ian Diaz
Does anyone else not listen to math rock because the word "math" reminds them of school.
Aiden Gomez
This. I liked their last EP live, so I dunno if it's just the result of too much glaze, they are guilty of overproducing their albums a bit. If you ever get the chance to see them live, you should go.
Also, (though they're a bit more post-hardcore than mathrock), check out The Vertigo of Bliss/Infinity Land by Biffy Clyro and also maybe Frames by Oceansize.
Connor Collins
Nah. Just think of it as progcore or some other p4k bs subgenre names
Hunter Torres
B&C is in my top 5 probably, thanks for the recs famalam

It seems like these math-core bands have one song per album that just grooves so hard and is way different than the rest.
I want some jazz with my distorted guitars. Any recommendations?

Brandon Sanchez
Theres this band called Floral, they have two eps of instrumental music that kicks ass
Cameron Clark
These guys don't get enough love. Some high quality twinkledaddies from the depths of Minnesota. They have an excellent live show and their other albums definitely compete with This Couch.
Easton Parker
Black Math Horsemen are really really good
Jaxon Johnson
Here are a couple charts, OP. There are some overlaps but they cover a lot of good bands that the flowchart overlooks.
David Lopez
And for Math Rock past these charts, last.fm is really good at suggesting more bands based on what youve scrobbled. Its also helpful to know that Math Rock is separated into a a bunch of distinct genre crossovers; Noise Rock, Midwest Emo, Post Rock, Neo-Psych, Indie, Jazz-Fusion, Post-Hardcore, and im sure there are a few others im missing. But once you find out which genre of Math Rock you like, it becomes a lot easier to find new bands that you like.
