Real singing is when the singer doesn't scream like a child who had his favorite toy taken away. Later Pantera is a good example. Any "core" band. A lot of black metal. Anything hardcore. It's all trying way too hard to sound scary and dangerous but it's just cringeworthy.

I was going through a list in my head of what could be considered "obscure" and left out Silencer, since most people who listen to black metal regularly know about them, but would the average metalhead? Is it obscure stuff from a average fan of metal in general, obscure stuff for fans in the respective subgenre or demos, live tapes and a few home produced youtube videos with a few hundred views, stuff that only the finder has ever heard of?
