What's his best song and why is it Spanish Castle Magic?

actually is Burning of the Midnight Lamp

Personally I like Little Wing or Wait Until Tomorrow ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

no way to choose the best but a very underrated tune is One Rainy Wish

Nah man, All Along the Watchtower, Voodoo Child or Long Hot Summer Night are better.

good choices

that's what people who don't listen to albums all the way through say

>ranking hendrix songs

he has so many great tracks with different flavors you cant make an objective list

>Long Hot Summer Night

that's one of the worst songs on electric ladyland

Of course I listen to albums the full way through. Just my opinion man.

The live version of Machine Gun in Band of Gypsies

good pick, the whole live album is amazing.

Hey baby and in from the storm are the best though. He's not really a good singer, and although they contain some singing, his guitar just outshines it all.

I really don't understand what people see in a song like Spanish Castle Magic, seems so basic to me.

but i guess this user knows why.

1983 is his best tho

in from the storm fucking rips, love the drumming

What did you all think of the posthumous Valleys of Neptune release? Also has anyone heard of the legendary Black Gold tapes?

>tfw the only physical album i have is Southern Saturn Delta
i have digital downloads of his stuff though

Bold as Love is his best though

Valleys of Neptune guitar instrumental.

CHEROKEE MIST INSTRUMENTAL

Thats a great album. That version of Little Wing is awesome and all the songs are pretty wild with distortion

I've always liked Love or Confusion best.

all wrong

>easy rider

yikes

does not get any better than Stone Free on live at the fillmore east. though power of love on band of gypsies is a fuckin banger

"Spanish Castle Magic" is surely one of my favorite.

But always trying to found out what is better is really annoying.
It's like " What's his best tableau" about Picasso or Van Gogh, that's ridiculous.

I understand that is an anglo-saxon (or Anglosphere) thing, because of free Betting, statistics in sports, and all that charts...

But seriously, trying to make a scale in art?

>mfw i prefer john mayer's cover of bold as love

>The song is famous that means it's SHIT!!!!!!

By the way my favourite is 1983

>implying the other songs aren't famous

House burning Down
deal with it nigers

>not Catfish Blues
>not Hear my Train a Comin'

His originals are good, but he really shines where any good bluesman does--in interpreting the work of others.

this

voodoo haze

My favorites are All Along the Watchtower and Red House.

Actually, that blues compilation of his is absolutely brilliant.

If i have to choose one: "Castles made of sand"
The sound! The gimmicks, the reverse solo... A fucking Masterpiece
