i'm 18 and licensed senpai
but how exactly is our production subpar? please critique it if you're so wise
how many creepy white dudes with a basement studio are licensed in the world though?
>a lot of them
You should stop wasting your time pandering to Sup Forums and its SC-userbase. Just good advice from a professional who's not having anything important to do atm besides lurking on Sup Forums.
Jesus Christ on a popsicle...kill me now...
why you gotta bring race into it tho, who said i was white?

But your music is. blank.

how many creepy dudes with a basement studio are licensed in the world though?
>a lot of them, regardless of race
i was merely speaking from experience, as the studio i go to has a lot of creepy white dudes who claim to be "master mixers with licenses" hanging around it
good shit
nah, not really.
>saved a thumbnail
your music is cancer :)
This thread must be the worst since.

oh is someone a little bitter because they're not getting paid to make their shoegaze?
guarantee you've never heard it
i'm not bitter at all
you just think you're special because you have a license, i was pointing out the obvious
>you're not
guarantee you I have. Foliage is without value. A festering sore at the arse of music.
I would rather give myself AIDS. Speaking of which, you should probably get yourself tested dude... You know, having all the gay sex you do.

Only the pitiful draw their strength from this place.
no it means i'm at least hitting some kind of standard that you're not
of course you're bitter
if you weren't you wouldn't have started this in the first place and you definitely wouldn't still be responding
i'm an internet nerd and i'm here anyway so why not?
is that standard making you millions of dollars?
or do you still live with mommy and daddy?
get the fuck out of here lol, go lurk around a studio and hope for a drug dealer to pay you $300 for a mixtape master
i could eat shit, shit it out and record it
and it would still be a better record than hobo da gay could ever make
Man, this thread turned into a beautiful little shitfest, eh?
>your point isn't valid because you're not making millions
>18
>living with your parents
>this is abnormal
at least your insults are as shitty as your rhymes
>hobo da gay
just wow
you paid $500 and took a music mastering course for 4 weeks
you didn't "meet a standard"
the standard is industry quality
industry quality = millions of dollars
damn nathan, please. he's right, it's not that much to brag about. also, posting in sc threads on Sup Forums is the equivalent to vocalists doing youtube covers - it cheapens your brand to anyone who actually might be looking to work with you.
that wasnt an insult, thats your name
i dont have to insult you, you do that to yourself with your abysmal music
>sample based, beats, sad/nostalgic themes
>being this autistic
on that note, i'm gone
i'm not nathan
i didn't mean i'm a certified engineer i meant my music is licensed for commercial use by a record company u fucking idiots
you know ascap
royalties
good riddance
if only it were that easy to get rid of cancer irl
anybody can sign up for ASCAP
do TV shows and Films use your music? link a few user, let's see it - ASCAP is usually for live shows and radio play
you get a music licensing company to use your tracks, and they pay you themselves (for TV and Film, at least)
or are you collecting 0% of live/radio play royalties lol
too bad, i have 15 more minutes

no, I do know
google "ASCAP" and you'll see that it
>is an American not-for-profit performance-rights organization that protects its members' musical copyrights by monitoring public performances
lying faggot
thought it was 10x better
at least it was "original"
step 1. make exceptionally good music
step 2. put it out
step 3. there is no step 3, just put good fucking music out

Where do you 'put it out' if not here?
the all knowing music industry god thought ascap was a reocrd label?
holy shit my sides

that was the connection
real perceptive user
you have to grow a fanbase from here - reddit is okay too but it's not as reliable.
and then send out to small promotion pages and channels once you have a couple hundred followers and just work up from there
I know what you meant f a m, but regardless of who you are my point still stands. licensing deal != hard to obtain, and I'd still be concerned about posting it on a forum like this because it could look cheap. The example I gave (youtube cover artists) rings true, they're often picked up and sort of shuffled along through the lower rungs of the industry until they end up getting a fucking feature on a second rate reality show. No one will ever seriously want to work with them.
The parts you should focus on here are the words "cheap" and "no one will ever seriously want to work with them". Re-reading my analogy I realised that it could be confusing.
The user giving you advice is not me, the one you've been asking, fyi.
i'm not saying it's rare to have a deal
you called me subpar and i used that merely to rebut that claim
it's not like i'm posting it to try to gain respect or followers
it's not like i announced it to Sup Forums when it happened or something
what i do is nothing remotely similar to a youtube cover artist it doesn't "ring true" just because you say it does
I (!) called you subpar, not the guy you're having a discussion with.
Still claiming that you're subpar though.
>they're often picked up and sort of shuffled along through the lower rungs of the industry
you mean 99% of people ever to make it into the industry?
critique me ;)

Not doing you the favor.
The only thing you need is time and the will to mature a little regarding your music in a more professional matter.
