Rounding out the Sarah Records train with one final bump and video
OP here, should I just kill /twee/? The first thread went relatively well, but these are getting less replies than /noise rock/, and that's just fucking sad
You can get a good twee thread going every once and a while. But yeah, I wouldn't expect a huge amount of replies, or enough activity to keep a general going.
thanks user
I'll keep that in mind
I'll do a few more and see how it goes, but if it keeps going like this thread has, I'm killing it.
I might just change it to /indie pop/, maybe that'll get more activity going
If you like twee, you gotta listen to this. It's arguably the first twee album, and it's really great and really adorable. And Poly Styrene is the frontwoman for X-Ray Spex, if you like them.
Holy shit nigga, I love X Ray Spex
You've got me sold
it's very different musically, but it's cool to hear her vox in a different context.

is there any sad twee pop
or is that an oxymoron
Another Sunny Day, Blueboy, the Field Mice, St. Christopher, the Orchids...
twee pop always feels really melancholic to me.
Tigermilk by B&S is the quintessential sad but still cute twee pop album.
