UK > USA > Germany (what the fuck's up with that flag?) > Canada > Japan > France

America: 10
All other countries in the image (and the world): 0

>b-b-b-but muh crescendo-core

UK > Germany > Canada > America > France >>> Japan

More like my folk rock desu

Germany > UK = France > USA > Canada >>>>>> Japan

United States > France > Germany > Britain > Mediocre tier > Japan > Canada

What the fuck is up with that flag?

USA (for its contribution to the academic music scene) > UK (for the 1960's) > Japan (based traditional music) > France (based accordion jams) > Transcaucasia (good job existing for about 2 seconds guys) > Canada (Justin Bieber)

Burgerland>Bongland>Nipland>syrupland>krautland>baguetteland

They all have had their own times where each was the best at music though.

UK > Germany > USA (Mostly because of New York) > Japan > France > Canada

UK > US > Japan > Germany > France > Canada

USA>Japan>UK>France>Germany>>>>>>Canada

honestly speaking as a canadian here, our music is generally shit. only good things i can name are Alexisonfire, City and Colour, the Hip and The Sheepdogs.

we put forward shit like nickelback and bieber. it hurts man.

France > Germany > UK > US > Japan > Canada

US = UK > JP > GR > FR = CA

All make great music desu

UK > US > Germany > France > Japan > Canada

(coming from a french guy)

For real though, Canada's made some great metal and punk

So what's your malfunction that makes you think that Germany and/or France aren't GOAT?

France and Germany are GOAT but then again I listen to industrial and house.

The sheer amount of music produced in the US and UK.

Don't get me wrong, France and Germany make some killer chunes but the US has produced so much more based on its population alone. Same goes for the UK I guess.

The US exists, which has the best Modern Classical.

I think it also depends on the genre of music you listen to as well.

y'all goBt NO REASON to speak on Canada
keep the name out ya mout

US > Germany > France > Japan > Canada > UK

UK (pound for pound, the US have 5 times the population)>US>Canada (Neil Young, Joni Mitchell, Leonard Cohen, Rufus Wainwright)>France>Japan>is that meant to be a German flag?

Japs make music?

US > Canada > Britian > Japan > Germany >>>>>>>> France

US>UK>Canada>Germany>Japan>France

Boards of Canada though

y7ouF oolll

I really fucked up the German flag, didn't I?

>what is Mouse on the Keys
>what is Midori
>what is Toe
>what is Daisuke Tanabe

Kek

US > UK > Japan > Germany > Canada > France

First half are all great, second not as much. I've never found a single French artist I've really liked.

UK > USA > France = Germany (nice flag, faggot OP)

MASSIVE GAP

Japan > Canada

What has France ever given us except Serge Gainsbourg, Daft Punk and Magma?

dj krush & soichi terada mang

Pierre Schaeffer inventing electronic music.

meh

Krush was the only one I could think of, and that shitty band Hampus liked.

What is the Canadian opinion of the Mac Demarco / Alex Calder crowd

The US produces the worst popular music.
>Modern Classical

Wew.

Can you honestly say that about every genre and every artist in a country with way more population than both of those countries?

UK > US > Japan > Germany > Canada > France

>All these people putting UK first/second

Literally fucking WHY

America > Japan > Canada > UK > Germany > France

During the 60s/70s British music was incredible. There's still been quality stuff released consistently since, so it's just up there with the US.

CHINA NUMBAH WAN

UK Bass and cheesy rock bands.

The Beatles
The Who
The Pink Floyd
The Clash
The Sex Pistols
The Kinks
The Iron Maiden
The Def Leppard
The Motörhead
The Saxon
The Electric Wizard
The Acrimony
The Orange Goblin
The Blur
The Oasis
The U2
The Slowdive
The Stereolab

I've always found Britain's influence on electronic music to be underrated. Sure, France have been a huge part as well, but Britain really did have a massive part in making it popular and inventing unique genres like DnB.

Shit like Blue Monday shaped music forever.

canada gave us voivod and thats all that matters to be honest

And Rush, Neil Young, and GY!BE

Nah, UK is far ahead in electronic music. They have some vibes other countries have not.

Germany is second.

I've always despised all the Parisian shit tho.

US > UK > Germany > Japan > Canada > France

Biased towards jazz and free improv.

UK

America's an all around country.

The UK's contribution to rock music and punk rock is legendary.

The Germans have always been pioneers in music. and were very important in the formation of electronic music and prog.

Japan has a bunch of great alt rock groups and electronic projects I guess.

Canada has a bunch of folk groups and post-rock groups but they really shine in their surplus of great strange and unconventional metal and rock groups.

France produces some of the best EDM and IDM out there today.

I guess he meant the United States of Belgium

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_Belgian_States

UK > USA > France > Canada > Japan > Germany

Can I get some modern French and German recs? What has Sup Forums been listening to from those countries?

burial

what the fuck is up with all these contrarians putting France at the bottom ? as far as I'm concerned the order doesn't matter as long as Canada is at the bootom

Pretty fucking easy tbqh famille

USA > UK > Japan > France > Canada > Germany

Like said, it depends on your personal taste. I don't find any classic French genres interesting, whereas I love a lot of the rock coming from Canada.

Frenchfag here.
Personal taste, I'm not patrician or anything.

>instrumental

Yann Tiersen (Amélie, Goodbye Lenin soundtracks, Dust lane is pretty good)

IAM (L'école du micro d'argent is accepted as the best french hip hop album of all time)
Shurik'n (Ou je vis)
Rocé (Really smart guy)
Keny Arkana (most far left you'll find, kind of anoying sometimes)
Abd Al Malik ( deep lyrics)
Grand Corps Malade (spoken word)

>Electro

Rone (~deep house)
Le Chapelier fou (~trip-hop)
Downliners Sekt (first albums : ~breakbeat/post-rock, last albums : ~experimental)

>Chanson Française

Jacques Dutronc (Kids have swag, real men have class)
Jacques Brel (He's belgian)
Alain Souchon (Pleb tier, popular music)
Gérad de Palmas (even more pleb tier)

>Metal

...

UK>France>US>Germany>Japan>Canada

french hiphop is crap

Canada has no good music. Neil Young, Joni Mitchell, Leonard Cohen. pretty much ends there. They have no modern artists that are good either.

>bait

Off the top of my head I can think of Rush, Neil Young, GY!BE, Arcade Fire, Tragically Hip, and Klaatu.

youre taste suks :DDDD

>not patrician or anything
>Yann Tiersen

Checks out

good, good, meh, meh, meh, meh

Natural Snow Buildings should be on that list, they are GOAT drone-folk.

>Arcade Fire
>Canadian
Keep telling yourself that m8. Win is the brains of the band and he and Will are from Texas.

come on, post you're taste m8 ;)

Except that I'm unabashedly serious.

Don't forget Broken Social Scene, Harmonium, and The Band. For a relatively small country compared to the US, they put out a ton of good music.

UK = US > Japan = Germany > Canada > France

Canada >>>>>>> Everything else

US>Japan>Germany>UK>France>Canada

I'll concede that they could be worse. Take off ten million people and remove all the musical talent away and you have Australia.

>The The's

Germany > Japan > France > Canada > UK > US

UK > America > Canada > Germany = France > Japan

Canada > Japan > Germany > France > UK >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> US

>canada
>relatively small country

Switch Germany and UK and you have the objectively right answer

uk > usa > france > germany > japan >>> canada

>Canada's population - 36 Million
>America's population - 324 Million

Nearly 1/10th the size of the US.

UK > US > Japan > France > Canada > United Belgian States

japandroids are canadian as well

Mac Demarco and Grimeths :^)
