good stuff, although the microtonal part is hard to notice. maybe try very different pitches for different "cromatic sclaes". Liked the use of different types of metric

recs from other threads

the reason it doesn't sound very microtonal is probably because it's all small number ratio (a different set to 12tone/just .. but equally as harmonic as that particular set so very 'normal' sounding)

my microtonal system revolves around 60 of my favourite microtonal scales (everything from erv wilsom horograms, freestyle ratios, EDO's and those dward constellation series that I have no idea how they come up with)

so I can already go *very* microtonal, but I'm trying to feel my way into the more complicated tonalities slowly rather than fumbling through it without any harmonic aims

SOOOO im GUUESSING YOU dont Like my postmathrap psychofunky plantpop grassbubble opera

Aah all good then. Hope to see you around!

bimp

same as the genres they use. it's vauge, not as descriptive as like "sounds like Stevie Wonder"

Finest german Techno, made with love

The fact that so many posts still name Pleasance House as "the greatest or most significant or most influential" Sup Forums Bandcamp artist ever only tells you how far Bandcamp music still is from becoming a serious art. Soundcloud critics have long recognized that the greatest Soundcloud musicians of all times are Aaron Ellis and Cal Chuchesta, who were not the most famous or richest or best sellers of their times, let alone of all times. Tidal critics rank the highly controversial Kanye West over hip hop musicians who were highly popular in courts around the projects. Bandcamp critics are still blinded by commercial success. Pleasance House sold more than anyone else (not true, by the way), therefore they must have been the greatest. Soundcloud critics grow up listening to a lot of internet music of the past, streaming platform critics grow up listening to a lot of radio music of the past. Bandcamp critics are often totally ignorant of the DIY music of the past, they barely know the best sellers. No wonder they will think that Pleasance House did anything worthy of being saved.

i might have to force myself to sing, but my voice is too weak and bad sounding for what i want to do.

My first album (Vanity Beach) is very bright, and somewhat lo-fi. My second album (Chemical Farm) is darker and grimier. My most recent album (Program) is a balance of light and dark and much more streamlined I think.

Recs:
If you're a fan of Ambient relaxing music, this is really great stuff

It sounds like 70's circuitry pulsing with electricity. Industrial yet Bright.

Intimate lo-fi bedroom pop. Wonderfully hazy and faded synths compliment the vocal work. Downloaded.

really great fuzzy pop/folk songs. I downloaded this awhile back and highly recommend it. Favorite song: "Cherubim"

Really well produced, the guitars sound amazing. Downloaded!

reccing, this is amazing

[Review of N20]

N20 is the debut album by electronic black metal artist 'Ghooles'
This album blew me away on my first listen
From the heavy intro that is 'Auditory Halucination'
and to the lovely slow outro 'N20'
There's songs that have Death Grips samples in them
Track 2, 5, and 6 have different death grips samples in them
Out of all of them 808s are fatter in cali has to be the best one
Bleeding cant stop screaming(BC$) has this weird Zach Hill vibe to it
Triangle Triangle which features Ghooles himself on the mic and
honestly this song has to be my least favorite on the album
it's just a little too loud for my tastes
Is it a bad song? No
I just rather listen to it once
GHOOLES ALLEY features Ghooles's girlfriend on it- It's an interesting track. That's all I can really say about it
Ghooles sounds like something you'd hear on an Adult Swim bump at like 3 in the morning. Scary yet funky
Sugar Bitch features Ghooles playing with his bass guitar and I gotta say. Hands down best song on the entire album
Distressed and the self titled track are real piano heavy and gives off a sad feeling
Which honestly was a perfect way to end the album

But yeah
I recommend this album
It's worth a few repeated listens
Especially if it's late at night

RATING:8.9/10

FAVORITE TRACKS:Gods of Hell, Bleeding cant stop screaming, 808s are fatter in cali, GHOOLES ALLEY, Ghooles, Sugar Bitch, A soft melody for the blind, Distressed, and N20

LEAST FAVORITE TRACKS:auditory halucination, triangle triangle, 138

Y'all know this is just my opinion right?

Hey fellas. I miss posting in these threads, but I don't like posting the same shit over and over again so here's a shoddy demo of a track on an album that I probably won't get the time or motivation to fully write and record for like 6 months or so.

Hope your Fitz show goes well m8. I already left Houston a few weeks ago, but otherwise I totally would've been there.
I like this a lot better than the other album you used to post. really well produced too, and I actually quite like the noisier section at the end. Really makes it feel like the whole track is shifting into disarray in a pretty neat way. I almost wish you doubled down on it and got super abrasive and dissonant but its still cool.
I really gotta start listening to more atmospheric black metal type stuff, this was really fuckin cool and well put together. love it.

The Freemen - Faith in a Grin. I love the guitar sounds and the vocals. I was kinda turned off by the pitch-shifting, but I think it's a great song. Tell your drummer that his technique is incredible. I'll put this on my saved Bandcamp finds.
Lana Awen - The exile: I love this. I'm gonna listen to more, because this is very similar to the type of music I wanna listen to. Actually, you should give some of my stuff a listen, maybe we could work on something together? My only note would be perfecting your guitar style and technique. But yeah, really good.
Le Pax - Reconstructed Actualities: I'm gonna tell you this right now, I might not be able to make it through this entire song, but I'll definitely give it a shot. I've been wanting to get into IDM. I love that drone noise with that beautiful piano, it sounds really nice. I like that contrast of ominous sounds and melodic piano. I also love your album cover. I like the shift two or three minutes in, it was a nice guitar tone. I kinda wish it went somewhere, before it was consumed by that heavy noise. But overall I think it has a great ambiance.
Corvo and the Corvettes - Complexion (demo): I think the obvious note to makeis that sometimes the guitar playing is a little sloppy, but it's a demo, so I get it. First off, I really love your lyrics. I've been trying so hard to convey words and meaning in a way like, not hitting you over the head with pretentiousness or cheesiness, but not too simple. I wish your voice was a little louder. Very good.

well before that guy posted it was in the bottom three rows in the catalog and right after it was in the top three, so I don't think that me not saying anything would help.

I listened to this track you posted (will listen to more of your music tomorrow), really good stuff. Yes, we could work on something together, but it'd have to wait.
