reminder that Brazilians invented the second wave of black metal
youtube.com
>I.N.R.I. influenced black metal circles worldwide, particularly the Scandinavian portion of the so-called "second wave" of the genre. "It is sobering," claimed Terrorizer magazine, "to think of what wouldn't have happened had 'I.N.R.I.' not been released."
>Euronymous, the deceased guitarist of Mayhem and erstwhile leader of the so-called "Inner Circle", traded correspondence with Lamounier in the early days of Norway's scene
>According to the Lords of Chaos book, Euronymous was "obsessed" with Sarcófago's early image, and wanted all black metal bands to be modelled after it.
Have you only just discovered Sarcofago or something?
What difference does it make? facts are facts.
No one is disputing your facts, satan
>try to listen to this a few times over the years
>always shut it off before the 2nd track is over. way too fucking chaotic
Never has an album clicked so hard in my life. Haven't been able to stop listening to it all week.
whoa those are pretty metal digits
Indeed an album would have to click very hard for me to suddenly like it without having listened to it past the first song.
OK FINE.
I give it another shot too...
Post what you§re listening to
Technical Death metal is cool
1st time i heard it i loved it, slit your guts was my favourite and now phobophile is
It was just suddenly so easy to understand the subtleties of every single song, how they all actually have proper structures, they all build to a logical point, and ultimately that they are normal death metal songs played with an intensity that is basically unmatched today.
Me want album now
2016 Flake Out edition:
Portal
Absu
we'll try again next year fellas
...
does anyone have a link to magma?
been looking for a link literally all month everyday after work
love gojira would super appreciate it
I could have sworn that Absu played a new song when I saw them last April. Hopefully they hint at something in a few weeks or so at their show with Demoncy and Volahn
FROM THE DEPTHS OF HELL IN SILENCE
I saw them too but I'm not that familiar with them.
youtube.com
It kinda seemed like they were still touring for Origin: War and Magick
...
I never post in this general but I see other people post that Magma is shitty or disappointing but honestly its become one of my favorite Gojira albums
>it's a "somebody completely new to metal just discovers Sarcogago and thinks this is obscure information" episode
nigger i just told you ive been googling everyday for a month
You are one dumb nigger then, lmfaoooooo
>being retarded
1984

...
Good, never post in this general again then
What bulldozer slams the most?
Pantera
what now?
authentic nip slamming burudesu metarru

youtube.com
youtube.com
Well it's an opinion
That opening slam is like a wrecking ball lad
That's the first wave
no first-wave just implies a bunch of thrash groups between 1983-1887 that contributed to the black metal sound of the 90s
second-wave started in 1984 with bathory but never really picked up until the late 80s
...
>tfw no Kerry King viking brute beard
>320kps
>100mb
virus infested system, h-here I come!
>320kbps
>100MB
>44 mins
What the fuck are you on about
320 * 100 = 320000
here's a hint: viruses are mostly very small. Mostly...
44*60*320/1024/8 = 103,125
So yes, roughly 100 MB for 44 minutes of music at 320 kbps.
Does math metal exist?
Somebody post that 80s or 90s gook power metal band that had the really strange riffs please
yeah but it's gimmickry
Marge Litch
this? the riffs are fucking insane
youtube.com
any good? i've only heard negative things, and i'm a long standing Gojira fan.
>gimmickry
So it's copying mat rock but with more gimmicks?
I don't give a fuck of what you think and there's no virus in there i can show you the folder in which i created the archive if you want thoughh this prove absoultely nothing
it's called djent
lazy and stupid
What bands drummer got the biggest drum kit in use?
Iron Maiden got to be one of the candidates, dude is covered behind his kit.
youtube.com
everything that has any kind of science in its genre name is just gimmicks. Math Rock, Math Metal, Bio Drum'n'Bass, Physical Dub, Antrhopolo Latin, it's all the same gimmick shit
I actually love everything about this album.
>M-MUH POP SONG STRUCTURES
Literally not an issue
good shit
listening to grief while reading really good combination of despair and sorrow
Quantum Folk is some real shit tho
Only mathcore is real, bitch
Cattle Decapitation
Symphonies of sickness
...
This is exactly what I've been looking for. How haven't I heard of them before?
>it's a weeaboos make a shitty proge album episode
...
This is hot garbage desu
>talking shit about the only good djent
that was a really fun project for him so why the fuck not
The only good djent is admiral angry fampaichi
most djent is good familia
not really
no
...
>Admiral Angry
>Djent
Are you out of your fucking mind?
>djent chugging and polyrhythms isn't djent
we had this same exact argument a year ago
admiral angry is sludgy djent
>people can't accept the truth
The first thing you hear when you even click on that link is really gritty djent chugs and it slowly descends into a really gritty, slow sludge/djent breakdown, user.
Indeed, though their earlier shit has some BM influence.
dude djent lmao
>thinking all low bass driven guitar sounds are djent related
>not knowing the grounds for their influence or branched off bands material
>tagging this as polyrhythmic
oh boy the mongoloids are ever thriving here still aren't they
pic related
+ First Fragment
>not knowing the grounds for their influence or branched off bands material
But I do user, but that has nothing to do with what Buster is. Trying to argue that a band isn't a genre because the band's influences weren't said genre is like me trying to argue that Black Sabbath isn't metal because they weren't influenced by metal groups.
How about you explain why it isn't djent, though? The style at which they play is very djent. Very distorted, palm-muted playing at a low pitch played very identical to djent, user. The only difference between Admiral Angry and regular djent is that Admiral Angry is also a sludge metal group and very slightly influenced by noisecore.
What else would you call it? It's definitely not typical sludge metal, typical sludgecore, or typical math sludge.
If you don't hear the djent in Kill Yourself, Plastic Bath, Android, Illusion of Strength, Bug Vomit, Blow Down and Sex with a Stranger I don't even know what to say.
Let's not forget that the only band that sounds like Admiral Angry is Black Sheep Wall, who are actually generally accepted as sludge with djents despite being even less djenty than Admiral Angry.
Admiral Angry's demos definitely aren't djenty however. They're more like sludgegrind though.
>Website article/video is top 10 Slayer songs
>#1 is Raining Blood
It does, but it's rarely good
Couldn't get into them myself, but definitely a good band. Have you heard pic related? Sorry if I seem to shill it here a lot; I just think it deserves attention.
AoTYsf
I haven't, but I'm putting it in my "To do" list.
Slayer sucks lol
Sounds like edgey hardcore djent to me
slayer sucks LoL
meshuggah
djent is not math metal btw
