I live this album

you feel deeply, you feel tenderly.

I used to live in that album. Falling asleep to this album on a five hour bus ride was something that will be one of my favorite travel moments.
I listen to all sorts of ambient and drone and still feel similar.

do you know absolutely anything similar to saw 2
that stark, dynamic-barren sound
i need more

Listening to this before bed is the comfiest shit ever.

I don't dig the barren sound as much. I dig the warm and cozy parts. Rhubarb, Stone in Focus, Lichen, and Cliffs are my favorite tracks. I'd go hunting for some Sup Forums essential dark ambient charts. Are you familiar with Cryo Chamber at all?

true, true

blue calx and stone in focus are my favorites
lots of people think stone in focus was only released through vinyl and was only mastered for vinyl but I actually came across some VA compilation with a cd-mastered version of the song on what.cd once, and I promptly implemented it into my (digital) copy of the album with its respective track listing and shit. bit autismal but I can upload it for you and anyone reading this if you'd like

and nah I haven't, but I'll listen

Nice. Blue Calx is cool. Stone in Focus was released on the album's UK Vinyl, UK Cassette and appeared on Excursions in Ambience 3: The Third Dimension as "Track #19". I was able to pick up an unopened copy of it on cassette a couple months ago, but my tape player broke before I could listen to it.

Honestly, go through the essential charts for ambient and you'll find a bunch of new favorites.

>Excursions in Ambience 3: The Third Dimension

yeah, that was the one

and i will, thanks. i've heard an assload of ambient and dark ambient but nothing even comes remotely close to what rdj did on saw 2. you'd think the case would be the contrary considering his huge influence but idk man, maybe i'm not searching for the right shit.

Anyone got any good ambient reccomendations?
I've already listened to Solar fields, Aphex Twin,
Global Communication, The Orb, and boards of canada

nah tgheres not a whole lot out there that sounds very much like saw2

check out these albums by speedy j tho

>Biosphere - Substrata

hey nice thanks!

Scorn

>parallel stripes
gave me weird feels

>Comfy
maybe Lichen and rhubarb, stone in focus too
but the rest is scary as fuck, not comfy at all

>Make simple as fuck bare bones beat
>Extend then to over five minutes long
>Put then all together
>Call it an ambient album
Anyone can make songs like this. Even I have

The album still sounds good though

a month ago, I was in the bangkok airport at 4 am. The lobby is fucking massive, and the ceiling is covered with mirrors at all kinds of angles. I layed down on a bench, put on hexagon, and just stared at the ceiling and watched thousands of people walking in every direction. It was one of the most serene things I've ever experienced.

>Anyone can make songs like this.
not in early 90s
by the way your song sucks.

Anybody can make garbage, sure. It takes patience and practice to make truly great things, user. A decent number of people think I make pretty good ambient music, but I suck compared to the greats.

this sounds like shit

Of course it does because it was effortless

>always "this" dude
lmao internet is such a great place

why would you waste time like that
yeah

yes i live in it, it's a home to me
nothing comes close

i've spent nearly a year of my entire life listening to this album in total
