Is it weird to go to a concert alone? There's a show I want to go see but I planned on heading there on my own, but I'm just thinking wouldn't that be awkward?

not really

what show?

Isn't it just boring to go to a concert alone? One of the major pros of going out to a concert is you get to share the experience with others; if you're going alone isn't it just the same as listening off your computer?

not really. shows are a great place to meet new people

no. the atmosphere makes it a lot more fun if its a band thats good live. ive been to lots of folk punk shows with singing crowds, crowd surfing etc. a lot of fun, i always have a smile plastered on my face

G-Eazy and Logic in Toronto.

>crowd singing

God I hate it when that happens; I didn't want to hear everybody else singing the song, I paid to hear the singer sing it.

legitimate sing along parts are awesome though

You think going to G-Eazy and Logic alone is really worth it

I went to Cleveland, Ohio from Detroit Michigan alone to see HORSE the band a year or two ago and it was great! I really felt at liberty to let loose knowing I would never see any of these people again, so I was acting in ways that for no good reason would make me self-aware and embarrassed at home.
Then again, I saw Tricot in Detroit and it was a bit awkward because there was someone I knew who was a friend of my previous roommate there and I didn't know if she recognized me. Tricot is also much less fun than Horse the band though, not that they weren't also really good.
It depends on your personality I guess.

Apparently it's totally weird to normies, but I go to concerts alone all the time. Mostly because my friends either don't have time or don't really know the bands I see

>I really felt at liberty to let loose knowing I would never see any of these people again, so I was acting in ways that for no good reason would make me self-aware and embarrassed at home.
good point, never really thought of it that way.

That's the crux of the issue isn't it?

>God I hate it when that happens; I didn't want to hear everybody else singing the song, I paid to hear the singer sing it.

depends on the kind of music being played
like i said they were folk punk shows. you were encouraged to sing along and everyone makes everyone else feel like they belong there

but i can see why you wouldnt care for that at a g-eazy and logic show lol

The context that I had been wanting to see that band since I was 16 but couldn't, and then they only toured outside of the US for 3+ years also contributed to my excitement though lol. There was a lot of built up desire contributing to me acting out of character as well, just for full disclosure in case you're end up not acting like the idiot you actually are and you wonder why.
That and they sound like this, and always play this sloppily, adding to the !!!!!!!DIONYSIAN VIBES BRO!!!!!!.

oh god

Do you have the same type of sound system at home that a band would have at their concert? Idiot

No but I also have much better acoustics and I don't have a thousand other people drowning the band out.

Good for you then, have fun at home you autistic faggot

You're doing it wrong if you're going to a venue with a large enough crowd that they drown out the band

>Is it weird to go to a concert alone?

No. I go to pretty much every show alone. But, I usually know at least a few dozen people when I get there. Also, I only ever go to punk shows so it's not like there's that many people there to begin with.

>G-Eazy and Logic in Toronto.
BAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAH

>implying you can't just bring weed and/or smoke with others and make friends
At concerts, it's that easy to make friends

no it wouldnt be awkward. i was scared of going to shows alone too but nobody knows or cares about you there so enjoy the show

>G-Eazy and Logic

Before the music plays but during the concert you won't be focusing on others.

It's weird how stoners are so into bribing people for temporary fellowship.

No, it's not weird. I saw my bloody valentine in Toronto by myself. I just made sure I had a friend that I texted when I got there and when I got home to make sure I was safe.

i saw melt banana melvins and napalm death alone it was fine

What if you don't have any friends?
>h-hypothetically

Jelly. I forgot to see MB last time they were in the states

they come around fairly often i think

Parents? Assuming you're on good terms. Honestly if you're a guy you'll probably be fine.

me too. I had the night off and everything but literally just forgot. I think maybe because I saw Absu just two nights before I subconsciously felt like my week was done.

What if you're trans?
>n-no bully please

whenever I go to a concert with my gf we find somebody who is clearly there alone and mock him brutally and she pours beer on his head and I call him a faggot then she pins him down and I suck his cock and ask him how it feels to be a lonely gay nerd who gets his dick sucked by other men

there's no such thing as tansgender
you're just a perverted man who was raised by the internet and watched anime/played video games instead of making real-world connections like a normal human being and you only understand sexuality in the most cargo cult fashion, which explains why you find performative femininity so alluring
no wonder nobody wants to see a show with you

Yeah, I'll see em some time, assuming they don't break up before then.
I remembered the night of, but they were far and I had work, so I decided not to go.
Underground music fans are more than likely the type of people who will support your mental illness or attention seeking or perversion as a legitimate expression of "your sexuality or something" under the hivemind LGBTQIAyylmao mentality, which may harm you in the long run more profoundly than actually being physically attacked, but yeah you'll probably be fine. There's always danger outside of your bubble but it smells like soap in there. There will probably be a nu male who will try to fuck you in the butt though, and that nu male is me (not really I'm too shy >//////

MB's one of those bands I feel like will never break up.

>Is it weird to go to a concert alone?

only if you make it weird, you don't need friends around you to enjoy live music.

They're going to FUCKING DIE.
Yeah, I don't know though. They've just been at it for quite a while.

The last concert I went to was with a Sup Forumstant who I never met previously. Turned out to be a pretty good time

Well, depends if you're a trans woman, trans man, or non binary and how well you pass. Visibly trans? Um be extra safe. I wouldn't go alone. Cis passing trans woman? Same advice as before. Cis passing trans man? Probably alright.

oh by same advice as before I mean text a friend. I'm the mbv user.

he posted a cropped pic from a hentai manga

he's obviously a MtF creep from Sup Forums or Sup Forums obsessed with becoming the pornographic ideal of a girl

stop egging this behavior on
