Hey even greats make mistakes

8/10
:)

7/10. Scaruffi is a fag. Pet Sounds is a 10/10.

7/10

Trout Mask Replica.

here we go...

7/10
9/10
8/10

For my favorite three albums

My three favorite albums he gave two 7/10s and a 9/10.

8/10.

didn't rate it

9/10

It's usually one of these five albums so idk.

Morbid Angel - Altars Of Madness: 6/10

Beach Boys - Pet Sounds: 7/10

Amon Duul II - Yeti: 8/10

Swans - Soundtracks For The Blind: 8/10

Charles Mingus - The Black Saint And The Sinner Lady: I can't find anything

Well, this guy has no clue about metal that's for sure. Even that much worse with an album like Altars that requires multiple listens.

Considering his Beatles rant I guess a 7 is godly for Pet Sounds.

At least he doesn't consider Yeti generic krautjam and knows that it has something to offer.

Damn, he gave a bunch of Swans albums an 8. Dont see how modern Swans is watered down though the only times older Swans got that complex was during tracks like Helpless Child.

I have failed to find any reviews for his jazz albums so yeah.

Same

He called Pet Sounds one of the most overrated albums of all time.

A 6/10

Then again Scaruffi isn't that fond of Gothic Rock in the first place

You're Living All Over Me
>8/10
Pretty close to correct

I know. I am surprised it even got a 7.

The Beatles

He doesn't score Jazz albums but he called Black Saint and the Sinner Lady the best jazz album ever

Nail 9/10

Imma say TMR cuz even the plebeist person knows how overrated and full of filler moments Faust and Rock Bottom are.

8.5/10

gave it a 9
the only critic i've seen really recognize it for how great it truly is

Holy shit...I just saw his jazz list...
I actually agree with him a lot on ordering of a lot of albums on it
7

7

7/10

Called it "perfection" but gave it a 7/10.

He gave Houdini a 6/10 baka

what album

9
>tfw unintentionally a Scaruffidrone

The Queen is Dead

7/10
XXX

scaruffi never rated my favorite album because i don't listen to NERD MUSIC

The Good Son 9/10 :-)

>listening to soundcloud shite

7/10

7/10 is like the perfect score for your favorite album to get, besides getting no review at all

9/10 you're trying too hard

6/10 or lower you obviously have shit taste

Hey that's mine too

whats the worst review scruffers has even given

7.5 :^)

>8.5/10
>A ten for me but I don't expect a senile 60 year old to understand good music.

7/10
Which is like 8-9/10 in Scaruffi numbers

Can - Tago Mago

8/10

:)

you new here?

rock bottom is a better prog rock album

basically just add 2 to his scores

t. Scaruffi drone

7.5 :'-)

>7/10
he's a pleb

its ture though, the only song that measures up to rock bottom on ITCOTCK is the title track

He gave TMR a 9.5/10. Need I say more?

2 deep for u

kek

Gave a 7.5 to the dance of the moon and the sun and a 6 to bloweyelashwish, pretty decent scores for scaruffi i guess.

8/10

Feels okay man

6/10
like every Boris album

daily reminder that if Scaruffi gave less than a 7 to your favorite album, you have shitaste

A comma out of ten I guess?

never mind. He gave it a 6/10 on the Best Rock Albums of the Sixties list
scaruffi.com/ratings/1960.html

He gave Sounding the Seventh Trumpet by Avenged Sevenfold a 7/10. That was pretty cool

>Faust
>filler
Pleb

9/10
:)

That's a really good score in scaruffis system though. And he correctly rated this heat s/t higher too

>cool stuff that actually progresses the track between...pointless jam sections?
>a good thing

His system

Albums are rated on this website as follows:
10=best ever; 9=a masterpiece; 8=buy it now;
7=buy it eventually; 6=buy it if you are a fan

kek

mah nigga

>jams in krautrock
>pointless
Wew lad don't keep embarrassing yourself

This. Though it's probably worth mentioning that it's not on his top Jazz album's list.

I don't get triggered or anything with his scores, he only gives high scores to new stuff, if a band does something great in a genre without 'reinventing the wheel' he gives a 7 or something. Pic related

7.
I guess that's alright.

7/10, to me, this album is a 9.5/10

...

>implying the jams on Faust I are anywhere near as sophisticated as the ones on say...an Amon Duul album or a Xhol live performance

I never heard of Pere Ubu before finding scruffy's website, I was a typical Pitchfork kid and occasionally found new music through last.fm. I found them through his website in my freshman year of college and they've been my favorite band for the last 7 or 8 years, got me really into new wave, almost single-handedly shifted the way I view what's possible with guitar, synth, and especially singing as elements of a rock band. I am unironically thankful to this old Italian pedo.

He also introduced me to Roy Montgomery who is pretty good, too.

>implying my favorite album was rated by scarfluffy

in all seriousness, he did write this about it though:

Feist transformed herself into a pop chanteuse for Let It Die (2004), half covers and half originals, whose humble, naive, singsong Mushaboom propelled her to stardom

so idk

7/10

If thats your favorite album i hope u die a painful death

ITS A MEME YOU DIP

For my top 5. I still respect him as a critic despite this but I know he doesn't know much about electronic music.

6.5/10

This nigga gave Low a 7/10 and thinks Tonight and Diamond Dogs were the same quality.

humbly accept you're a pleb

7.5/10. It's also the highest score he gave any of their albums

7.5

Thought this might be Hella's double lp.
