Destroy Rebuild Until God Shows.

I'm lucky, they're a pretty mediocre band.

Weeb songs (most)

Thank fuck, amirite

I struggle with Impossible Soul by Sufjan Stevens because it was playing during a horrible drug experience (it's very annoying as I used to love the song), and I can't listen to Shelter from the Storm or Girl from the North Country by Dylan because they were played at the funeral of a friend.

since I started this thread I might as well throw my hat in the ring
Dani California - RHCP, my ex and I both snuck out to hotbox I was handed the aux cord, she was the only other person who knew the song and we sung it and that was like the first "moment" we had I guess, other than that, probably any 80s pop song or weezer song from the blue album she tried to get me into.

Bump for literally about to post a thread like this

also
My ex ruined the following
>tame impala(currents), Arctic Monkeys, Spiritualized, Pink Floyd, Mac DeMarco, Joni Mitchell, Fleetwood Mac, The Drums, Wild Nothing, Bob Dylan,

All "QT indie" chicks are fucking shallow and lie about their tastes to impress people. If you're not getting their attention, you're never going to. Total waste of 3 years of my life

I fucking hate that cunt and I contemplate releasing her nudes every day

Ratatat

Snowing - Fuck Your Emotional Bullshit

Indian Summer - Science 1994

Fuck emo chicks, you will be riding the emotional rollercoaster that is her more than she will ride you.

Jesus dude. She really seemed to fuck you up.

Boys of Summer
Last Worthless Evening
The End of Innocence
The Heart of the Matter

I had a nervous breakdown last time I listened to this. It's been over 5 years and I'm literally afraid to play it again.

i wrote a beautiful piece of music in 2013...right when my grandfather suffered a heart attack and was in the hospital in a coma, didnt know if he would wake or not...nurses telling us blatant lies about him getting better, he was brain dead before the ambulance got him to the hospital...anyways my mom heard it from the other room while i was playing it and said to me, crying, thats the music she wants playing at the funeral if he didnt make it

he didnt and i never played it at the funeral.
he fought in ww2

It comes from experience. She destroyed a lot of my life and relationships and faked a pregnancy to stay with me. She also sold some of my recording equipment for drug money a week before we broke up. Our first year anniv. I bought her a platinum and diamond necklace, she didn't get me anything

Radiohead - In Rainbows

specifically Nude

automatic for the people playing when my gf confronted me about me wanting to kill myself

>tfw can't even look at a picture of Mac DeMarco without feeling uncomfortable, let alone listen to his music
Am I missing out? Should I just force myself to try it or is he really not worth it?

"i feel like this is a song you'd sing to me"
youtube.com/watch?v=ahZFnwDVl1I

It's just catchy jangle pop, if you like that kind of music you should listen to it,

And nothing of value was lost

Such a good song, but the feels behind it are too intense, over 4 years of memories desu. I hope she thinks of me when she hears it

Hilariously, my boyfriend heard me play Banshee Beat and started calling it our song. It wasn't until i broke up with him that he learned it was a break up song.

Nice try, girls don't use Sup Forums unless

ever thought that some Sup Forums users might be fags?

Literally any Sufjan song

anything joy division , and some foreign literally who artists

>I contemplate releasing her nudes every day

Well you should obviously do that.

Unknown Pleasures by Joy Division, and The Velvet Underground and Nico to some extent

A crush of mine got me into Gorillaz. She rejected me and I don't think I've listened to them since.

I got diangosed with depression in high school and listened to Joy Division almost constantly around that time. I don't mind if it's Love Will Tear Us Apart or Transmission and shit but I can't really listen to their full albums anymore without thinking of trying to kill myself desu.

The girl I like likes Radiohead, and another guy that she likes is listening to it just to draw her attention. I know that he does not really like Radiohead, because he listens to shit like Rammstein, Slayer, Dethklok and other "look at me I'm so edgy" metal bands (we all have accounts on last.fm). What really upsets me is that I used to listen to Radiohead when I was young and we haven't met with her yet, but I'm always looking for new bands while listening to old ones that I liked, and now I just can't do that or it would look like I AM trying to get her attention. I still listen to it sometimes, but I have to do it secretly. It's fucking awful. Sorry for my English, by the way, I'm not a native speaker.

For the longest time I couldn't listen to anything from this album.

ESPECIALLY house of cards...

Minutemen

My ex-gf and I lost our virginity to Double Nickels on the Dime, I used to make her fall asleep singing a half-assed version of Corona while we were cuddling

Weeb shit and Avenged Sevenfold, thank God for her shit tastes

>All "QT indie" chicks are fucking shallow and lie about their tastes
>yfw 99% of this board jerks off to fantasizing about finding "QT indie chicks"
Guys who go after girls with a specific "image" are asking for trouble no matter what that image is. It's the guy equivalent of girls who go after assholes.

>tfw no song has been ruined for you because you're not a faggot but you've ruined songs for women

One bitch can never play the weeknd without thinking of me cumming down her throat.

kek

Le "i am a strong and independent man who feels no emotions" face

Thats fuckin savage, m8

I'm also planning on giving nothing to my girlfriend for our first year anniv.

is that a bad idea?

>Burial
>Radiohead
>Clams Casino
>American Football
>Deerhunter
>Alcest
>Deftones
>Nick Drake
>Tool
>Neutral Milk Hotel
>Daniel Johnston

the list goes on

Take her out to eat somewhere she likes or plan a picnic or something like that

Cheap and she'll remember it

Anything mucore, specifically stuff like the Protomen and Death Grips (I know, I know, "nothing of value was lost"), basically anything emo/sadcore: all the stuff this guy I met here listened to. He tried to kill himself and we deleted each other after that and it's been almost a year but I still think of him any time I hear any of that stuff. In fact, this is my first time on mu since it happened. I also can't listen to a particular LCD Soundsystem song he played once.

That's about it. Generally people don't ruin music for me. There's one guy I think of every time I listen to the Replacements. Kind of makes me sad, but I really don't mind that much. That's about it.

If you're even having to ask that question you're fucked mate.

yea picnic is cool. it's what she did for my birthday so I have a high bar to pass. She made fundo...

La Roux's debut reminds me too much of my ex.

so does Rattus Norvegicus by The Stranglers.

Graveyard, Jun Miyake, Nirvana, Lorde, not that I ever actively listened to them but Kings of Leon, and some by QOTSA. There are more, but thankfully I don't remember them all.

Most of them Graveyard, which is a bummer because I really liked them. But I always listened to Graveyard on the hot summer days when I walked to her house over the fields. Link below is the first song we ever listened to together.

kek

We literally only gave gifts to each other on birthdays so it's not that bad

Everytime

First of all, sorry that she messed you up.
Second,
>All "QT indie" chicks are fucking shallow
If you think like this and pretend that one horrible experience is enough to make a statement like this, you should not be surprised if you never get a GF you can be happy with again.

youtube.com/watch?v=vy0NySCmuFU

What's with pasty white girls and Joy Division, Mac Demarco ,Tame Impala and The 1975 ?
Is it some stupid sub-image cropping up?

Well, he may have a point. Going to lengths to cultivate the image of being a "qt indie chick" shows shallowness. If he just meant that all girls who are cute and happen to listen to indie are shallow, that's another thing, but the way he used the quotes indicates imo that he meant the ones who declare themselves QT indie chicks. But yeah, bitterness never helps in getting close to people, I agree with you there.

Adding one more thing, my brother used to play Father John Misty's second album non-stop for a whole year while I was sinking deeper and deeper into depression, isolation, and into a bad relationship, not to mention that that album gave me enormous feels even without that stuff on top.

post it, desu

you're a huge faggot
radiohead are trash
I can smell the teenage in you get the fuck out

what shitty songs

David Bowie

It really sucks.

I'll agree with you on Snowing, was her favorite band so that's why I listened to them, but fuck you Indian Summer is god tier.

OP here again, honestly looking at these I don't know what's worse, having a girl's like quirks and tastes become a part of you and then having her leave, or finding the right girl who's an exact copy of you and then suddenly having everything you enjoyed wiped from being happy again.

Literally all of Jeff Buckley, fuck me dead

Now THAT is a true loss
