I know you're just going to call it shit but this song is really good.
I bet you listen to hip-hop
"La Cucaracha"
is there hip hop with acoostic geetah? that would be something
That's a classical guitar
which is itself an acoustic guitar.
AER has a lot of it. Probably won't be up your alley though.
>implying Bob Dylan is boring or whiny

easy.. thugz mansion by nas (feat 2pac)
My favourite song of all time uses it and the song isn't whiny in any way. its actually very cheery and hopeful.

David Gray has plenty of awesome acoustic stuff using that instrument...
>whiny
15 year old detected.
This DESU, godly song and uses the instrument so well thought i could be called whiny
I doubt it, I don't think niggas have the skill needed.
>David Gray
>not whiny as fuck

Do you have an issue with David Gray? or just think hes whiny?
I personally don't think he is that whiny and is very talented. Whit Ladder (The album) is sensational.
White Ladder is one of the most miserable, whiny, poor me shite I've had the misfortune to sit through after Dido.
Well then we are on completely different paths, personally I find it deeply moving and wonderfully put together, all the instrumentation is in perfect harmony with itself. His voice suits it perfectly and it stays strong all the way throughout the album. No blips in sight. Certainly an underrated album in my opinion.
Ps Dido is magic too, white flag is a ballad for the ages.
>It's a "guy that exclusively listens to Kanye and Drake complains about guitar music" thread
>its a complete retard who thinks the only alternative to rock is rap poster
He's literally both of those things
I'm not OP, but bob dylan is one of the most overrated musicians of all time
>It's a "user gets triggered by the truth" post
>not whiny
which is an instrument made out of wood
>checks last.fm artists list
>only one rock or rap artist in top 100
Not him btw
AHHHHHH FRANKIE SINATRA
Who cares btw
(nice dubs btw)
nice
Okay but nylon strings, different build and completely different sound than an acoustic guitar (in the more narrow use of the term, referring to the generaly metal stringed folk instrument), and I think it's safe to say that OP asked for that especific instrument
I had never heard it but holy shit it's beautiful
acoustic guitars can have different builds, there are multiple shapes it can have ie dreadnaught, grand symphony, grand orchestra. using nylon strings on an acoustic guitar doesnt make it any less of an acoustic instrument. it still doesnt use any amplification. stop moving goalposts
you poor misguided pleb
I play guitar but I can't rap for shit
Don't underestimate rappers user
>Listening to anything that isn't American Primitive Guitar
>Not pleb
Paranoid Android
This. Literally any classical guitar piece
youtube.com
if you hate this song i consider you my enemy.
Dude he was clearly referring to the typical american folk acoustic guitar used in pop, rock and several other genres through the years, the classical acoustic guitar you posted is (with all due respect, this is not a critique to the instrument) a much less popular instrument amongst both musicians and listeners
Why have i not heard of this person before.
He really reminds me of Jeff Mangum.

If you dislike this kill yourself you shite.
Also good way to get recs.
Fingerstylists have made great music and continue to do so. John Fahey, Jack Rose, Robbie Basho, Nick Drake, Bert Jansch, John Renbourn, and Ryley Walker are some great musicians who play(ed) steel string acoustics, just to name a few.

Here's Ajattara for you faggot
> 'hello, i'm a five year old, & all art has to be made on things that look like the art itself'.
>just because it's not popular, even though i say a vague term like "acoustic guitar," i only really mean it's use in pop music.
OP asked to find a song where an acoustic instrument wasnt used in a whiny asshole way, and multiple people were able to do that, even with your bullshit conditions
say what you will about pre-wall pink floyd, but whiny really wasn't their thing
this is my favorite instrument honestly. what a great bright sound and you can do so much with it, as a lead or rhythm role
ohh man, that my jam right here
I prefer youtu.be
from that album
about that hip-hop

Basho was born in Baltimore, Maryland, and was orphaned as an infant. Adopted by the Robinson family, Daniel Robinson, Jr. attended Catholic Schools in the Archdiocese of Baltimore and went on to study at University of Maryland College Park. Although he played the euphonium in the high school band and sang in middle school and high school ensembles, his interest in acoustic guitar grew during his college years, as a direct result of his friendships with fellow students John Fahey, Ed Denson, and Max Ochs. In 1959, Basho purchased his first guitar and immersed himself in Asian art and culture. It was around this time that he changed his name to Basho, in honor of the Japanese Poet, Matsuo Basho.[1]
nothing more american than multiple cultures being able to cultivate into the enigma that is Robbie Basho
A Hendrix cover on the acoustic, sounds beautiful.
