Music is the most personal form of art. Sound is all around everything, even deaf people can feel it, cause sound transcend the simplistic limitations of human senses. You can make your own tunes with only your palms and thighs, even. Basically, sound is everywhere and everyone can make sound, ergo, not creating your own and limiting yourself to the personal vision of others works is not only restricting your own art and expression but a waste of talent, too. Being a lazy conformist and listening to other people's music and personal expressions instead of doing your own and letting your own voice out is the most plebeian thing you can do and i'm not saying this in an ironic manner.

i believe any one who doesn't make music is a pleb who has not yet begun to comprehend all it has to offer

I find schizophrenia severely hampers creativity. There's a total disconnect between ideas and execution. It's frustrating. I've been playing music in one form or another for 15 years and I'm yet to write a complete song.

i believe you are a complete idiot

i believe i didn't asked your opinion

To an extent I agree but I have a hard time putting my ideas onto a sheet

>I find schizophrenia severely hampers creativity
Most of the famous musicians hailed as geniuses and genre-definers are fucking bonkers m8

if anything you have enough talent for two, or three, or twenty

Hate to break it to you but film is the truest and most complete art form.

>putting all your ideas and feelings into easy -to-digest visuals, severely dampening the power of imagination of your receptors and requiring little to no thought process from your audience
>the truest art form

Do you hear this da? It's the sound of an idiot

What if I have no manual or vocal skills?

I believe English is not your first language.

what are you, stephen hawking?

if you're not braindead enough to post on an internet imageboard you're not braindead enough to stop you from making music

Stop going to the theater in your mall and get educated, dumb dumb.

Wew lad but it's gonna be shit, waste of time and focus of frustration.

Waste of money that I mostly don't have too, since I can't tell apart a Do from a La and I would need to hire teachers to even start.

>since I can't tell apart a Do from a La and I would need to hire teachers to even start
>he actually believes in the "you need to know music theory to be a musician" hoax

Oh user you're so silly

Op is autistic and pretentious

>autistic and pretentious
that's not an usual combination is it

ur just a fat sad man who came into my restaurant claiming you know food better than I do

i feel genuinely bad for all the people who never tried a dish perfectly suited for their souls after creating it

i work with an autistic kid and he is very pretentious

don't be so hard with yourself user

I say this as somebody whose primary mode of living at this point is writing music, it isn't supposed to be for everybody. If it were than we would be filled with everybody except a few making worthless junk and nobody listening to anybody else. this isn't an effective dialogue. Art is expression, and expression requires a receiving end of expression, so everybody doing their own thing and ignoring everybody else defeats the point of art. Furthermore people with better verbal or visual skills can either do literature or film well or music shittally. inb4 false choice, we have limited time and making good art requires intense devotion.

>this isn't an effective dialogue
neither is just listening to others speaking to you.
without your own voice you can't engage or understand any conversation, without knowledge of the language you can't communicate, without your own music you can't really appreciate anyone elses

show us your music

the conversation between music and it's listener has little to do with the artist for once it is created it becomes an entity of itself. It's not so much a conversation as it is a monologue unless the listener is an artist and prepares a response. Music exists in a world of it's own and to go from listener to speaker thus forming a conversation one must step through the open door instead of listening from outside it.

>enter restaurant
>chef and owner starts ranting about how cooking is the most personal form of art and how taste is everything, and how I should get out and make my own food
>I say "kek what the fuck man, you're autistic, I just want to eat some tasty food and can't cook for shit"
>chef calls me fat for no reason and claims I'm claiming to know food better than him

WHO

who what

this whole thread is fucking weird

>if anything you have enough talent for two, or three, or twenty
