What would the 4th Nirvana album have looked like...

What would the 4th Nirvana album have looked like? Imagine Kurt never attempted suicide and instead survived an overdose of heroin.

Would it have sucked? Was it for the better that it was never made?

Probably would have had an orchestra on it

The world may never know

Apparently Dave showed Kurt Kyuss and he got really excited and said he wanted their next album to sound like that.

But he was also on a shitload of heroin so who knows

Their 4th album would of been a cash grab reunion album 17 years after they broke up in 94.

Apparently Kurt was thinking of doing something kind new wave sounding, like Devo.

It was also rumored that he would collab with Michael Stripe.

A Nirvana album with synths and such would have been pretty cool.

Kurt was actually getting into folk music right before he died an in an interview said that this folk album (can't remember the name) was better than any rock music he's ever listened to
So they'd probably release a few more grunge releases, each shittier than the next, and then Cobain would go solo and do acoustic singer/songwriter

>may

>implying technology to bring the dead back to life won't be commercially available within the next 25 years

Source on this?

>you will never hear a third album

Like New Plastic Ideas

those live bootlegs tho

got new order instead though. every cloud

Judging by ceremony and in a lonely place it could have been amazing

New Order
Ian's whiny ass sad sack poetry would have gotten boring eventually anyways

Kurt himself said it would have been acoustic and ethereal and would be like Automatic for the People. It most likely would have sounded like a studio version of Unplugged with original material.

Yeah but then the edgy teen "Nirvana fans" would shit all over it and it'd get "mixed" critical reviews, so Nirvana would release more shitty grunge in imitation of their earlier work

They would have inevitably followed the same fate as Smashing Punpkins or Weezer.

This is the correct answer. Michael Stipe was going to work on it with them. I don't remember if You now You're Right was gonna be on it, but that would have easily been a Top 10 or 20 single.

Kurt hated being embarrassed. He would have killed himself anyway if he released a bad album. No way he could have taken that kind of negative media attention.

Grunge was on it's way out. It would have been more of the same.

Stipe tried to get Kurt to collab with him, but he didn't even come out of his house. Apparently he knew something was wrong with Kurt and wanted to try to help him get back up.

Probably would have broken up with Nirvana to do a chamber pop album with Stipe

>suicide

Movement 1981 is basically as close to the third joy division album as youll ever get
