idk about more ambitious but this is objectively better.
madvilliany obviously
for a forerunner of this kind of album check out prince among thieves
tpab is like a 6 btw. too many words, too much cuckoldry, not half as powerful or profound as it wants to be.
Definitely not more ambitious, but certainly objectively better, and I think both are 10/10
Madvillainy's a good answer. Prince Among Thieves is insane man, I love that album
lmao
Fucking white people, man.
Probably not thematically.
yeah im sure there are lots of black people listening to "ambitious experimental hip-hop", Danny Brown is one of them for example. Fuck off tard.
jesus fucking christ guys
kill whitey: the musical
:^)
WE
WUZ
A DEAD MEME
>objectively better
Shiv yourself in the neck you fucktard
It's more of a satire space epic, but I like it, fuck you.
it's true, though.
hahahahaha. You're right
>experimental/abstract
>TPAB
What? I liked the album a lot too, but in what world is that experimental music?
AAAAAAAAAH
LOVING YOU IS COMPLICATED
Maybe Outkast's stuff, but since then you're right, I can't think of anything
Government Plates.
...
You should really check out Kool Keith. He is the original experimenter of hip hop.
You also can't go wrong with outkast. They seriously don't have a bad album
Another album i can think of is 'Shabazz Palaces - Black up.' The beats are dope as hell
Dr. Octagon? I'd say it is because it was the first to even try.
Signor Benedick the Moor - El Negro
Since we're on the topic of early hip hop experimentation, I want to share this track (from 1983!!!) that's way ahead of its time.
youtu.be
That's not even rap you shithead
That's pretty dope, thanks for sharing it
