you must assimilate when you move to a different country.

>it's a disgusting pig mix between Bongistani and the Southern accent

I myself have the bastard lovechild of a Chicago accent and a Southern accent, tbqh

>disgusting
you'll be slaying poon on two continents

thanks

I don't remember anyone liking the Southern accent before I moved here

My accent shouldn't be a casualty

That must be interesting

Really it's just General American with fronted vowels and a bit of a twang.

Me

My dad's scottish and been inntexas for like 30 years. Still sounds scottish here, but sounds like a yank back home.

OP, you do realize that an accent can depend on who you're talking to right? I know people from both the US and my own country (Netherlands) who put on different accents depending who they speak to. Also, spending like a week in your home country again after leaving it for years, can already change your accent back to what it was.

Newfie here. Living in Ontario for 3 years. Making a conscious effort to keep it. Last thing I want to do is pick up this hideous fucking Leaf accent.

Not me.

I will forever pronounce about as "a boat"
