What I expected

One of these

Why the fuck did you expect punk rock?
also when is Sup Forums gonna ditch the meme that simplicity = bad?

I find that Sup Forums more frequently thinks complex = bad

The most impressive part about this album is that he's a Japanese man with a beard.

It's just simple traditional scales it's grocerystore-tier jazz

...

Explain

it's shit

i thought it was going to be philosophically reflective and dark like their debut but the whole album felt like an absurd joke without a punchline

Reminder that Ryo passed away this year.

Also why did you think it would be punk?

I went into this blind and the album cover looked like a good punk or math rock album

...

>expecting Godzilla cause the artist is asian

White people, baka.

maximum pleb

i didn't say it was bad

This exactly

gimme template

...

...

>can't get into the beautiful noisy landscapes
animal collective ripped their early style straight from this album
(still love AnCo)

You guys have an incredibly loose definition of 10/10

...

>glowing man is berlin trilogy

...

...

...

Haven't heard that children song in years but it's so good

the whole point of these is that they don't have text you dips.

What album is this

Fuck you I won't do what you tell me

...

this

...

other way around for me

seems like you didn't really pay attention to the album

...

nice opinion bro

...

seems like you probably weren't familiar with experimental rock before listening to the album so your reaction is the same as a ten year old listening to Pink Floyd for the first time and going "woah this is so deep Floyd is the best band of all time"
thx

Damned, I actually find early Pink Floyd to be quite profound.

...

album?

My Morning Jacket - Z

Bookreader - Dust Bowl Sallads

Pink Floyd sucks and I've been listening to experimental rock since I was like 14

faust s/t has been my all-time favorite rock album for years. Swans don't reach that level of creativity but the album To Be Kind sure as hell did breathe new life into two majorly stagnating genres by uniting them in a way that hadn't really been done properly before (you could argue Glenn Branca I guess).

...

Agreed.

Post your favorite album so I can shit on it.

No text allowed.

That said, good opinion. Swans isn't so much exhausting as it is boring.

...

Can anyone please explain this

my favourite part of that album (movie) was the shots of all the crazed fans dancing out of beat and completely awfully for the final 2 minutes of the show, it always makes me happy

Spot on

>new 40 Watt Sun never

...

it's more of a very well considered combination of a bunch of old experimental / post rock influences, it's not avant-garde but that doesn't mean it's hipster rubbish. you've read too much scaruffi for your own good
