dub techno is just techno with muh reverb, echo and delays dialed up to 11. Just like dub, instead those effects to add ambience, you use them as a backing track. or sumthin like that.
but then u get people like andy scott who use dub techno techniques but don't consider themselves dub techno men, then guys like ron morelli who sound like ambient techno mixed with dub, then stuff that is technically dub techno can sound very different from each other

at the end of the day I don't think producers care much about in which column of the genres chart the nerds classify their sound
yeah those. I wouldn't say they sound like shittier versions of BC at this point, they sound just...generic. everybody does their best impression of yayga.....boring synth stab->chorus->verb->delay-core.

Went to a Ron Morelli night when I was 18 by accident before I even knew what bleep/techno/music was. Either the sound system was shit or he'd put the reverb up to 12 because I couldn't make anything out it was so distorted.

Went to DNB night in tampa last night, couldn't get in but hung out outside. It was such a great crowd. It felt like the shitty version of a dream come true. There was this cool guy who looked like a knock off goldie and this eccentric artist guy and this guy "who only had family in london" and great bait and a great place to hang outside of.
