Am I the only one who thinks this an underrated Pink Floyd song?

Am I the only one who thinks this an underrated Pink Floyd song?

I believe there should be an epic orchestrated cover for this song as well

How the hell is it underrated? It's almost universally considered one of their best.

shut the fuck up you retarded fucking spic

Cause I only hear people talk about comfortably numb, wish you were here, another brick in the wall, hey you, time, high hopes ect.... but not echoes

You must talk to people who listen almost exclusively to the radio

first day here?

It's excrement.

san tropez is the true underrated song
so fucking cozy

Live in Pompeii is miles ahead. This one is good too but it doesn't have dat sicc jam section.

>be at work
>talking to a 50 year old mexican about music
>"yeah yeah user I'm a big fan of pink Floyd"
>what do you think of the song echoes?
>"What the fuck is that user?"
>mfw

live in pompeii fucking blows compared to other live versions of the song

My personal favorite version

actually nvm this version sucks dick. The vocals aren't even close to Pompeii or the studio version, in fact they are pretty shit, Gilmour was better when i heard him last year. You can barely hear the bass in the beginning. Only redeeming factor is dat jam section, though the guitar is much more varied and sounds much better in Pompeii

to be fair it is off of a bootleg. still like it more because of the sax.

The live vocals from some reason make them sound like they're in their 70's

I think Money is one of their most underrated songs.

Yeah the sax was a really nice touch
Exactly my thoughts, they sound tired. Probably because this was the ending to a two hour set

And when David Gilmore sings it now he sounds younger

Well he doesn't do Echoes anymore after Wright died, but the last one he did in Gdansk is fantastic. has a link to it, you should check it out.

Why would Wright's death stop him from playing that song?

Because it was kind of their song. I guess it really doesn't matter, but it's probably out of respect

Watch the Jupiter And Beyond The Infinite section of 2001 A Space Odyssey. Turn off the sound, and play Echoes instead. It syncs up perfectly. I've probably done it 50 times. Drugs are not necessary.
