>Ontario, Canada, Ambient, Drone, Harsh Noise, Harshnoise, Noise, Vapornoise, Vaporwave.

Description:
Tragedy and viscera, established vicariously through slow, warm, looping and warping drones, glitches, bursts of noise, stinging synths and overwhelmingly profound levels of volume. In the ever expanding thirty eight minutes that creates this single track, Jorge embodies the strong foundations of these beliefs in what is Fauxiliary.

Now available for stream and download!

Support, scrobble, or review on RYM. Any feedback of any kind would be greatly appreciated. And give Jorge some love. Thank You. :)

Will still be accepting submissions for the label.

Also, to anyone in the Houston area, Even Oxen, The Baddest Beams, and I will be playing August 15th at the White Swan. Hope to see some supporters there.

Also really enjoy Wild Ivy.

My album is making progress but it's not very much like the EP. That said, I'm also working on a different EP in my off time.

I really like the guitar in Nobody. I bet you hear this a lot, but this is music to night walk/drive too, especially Rain

Reminds me a lot of Panda Bear's s/t, instrumentally at least. The background vocals in that first track are nice, and that slight bit of fuzz or clipping or whatever it is is a plus

Not a huge fan of Nobody, but I really liked Rain and the other instrumentals. Calming yet driving.
Really nice wash. Like how you link songs together, want to do that with a future project
Looked these over earlier and liked it, rec em!
It's funny, after I rec the thread usually dies...
Wow, how did you record this? Love the acoustic sound in the first track reminds me of Tristram from diablo 2 lol. Green and Fawn are a bit too repetitive but Oatrin is very pretty and nice. Would like to hear more!
WOW, Wild ivy actually is really nice, lots of understated energy, love the production, super interesting vocal melodies, unconventional but can't help trying to hum along. Develops so well too! Super impressed!

Oh yeah what was that really crazy good electronic music someone posted a few days ago, with the weird album art? I guess that's not a good description...it was very sample-based

thevollunteeringends.bandcamp.com/album/the-best-of-thevollunteeringends-vollume-1
>Humor/Parody

Wow that is some great production especially for a home recording. The music is great too.

>Wow, how did you record this
As for Elephant Seal and Catrin, just a lot of layered guitar tracks. It took some trial and error, but I got it right eventually.

Thank you so much! Yeah it's just me with a $20 mic and line-in stuff for guitar (bass is pitch shifted), and a midi keyboard for everything else. Barely knew anything about mixing going into it, took me months to get it down ahaha. Like 6 months for the album, half of it was mixin' n fixin' stuff!

I wanted it to be very active fun music, poppy and vocal melody driven (not a ton of prog noodling, suck at that stuff anyways), but also still with the longer prog songwriting I love

I'd love to record something like you did there though, maybe as a little instrumental section...like the walls of delayed acoustic guitar strums...such a cool aesthetic

> line-in stuff for guitar (bass is pitch shifted)

Do you mean you took the guitar track, double layered it and just changed the octaves of the second layer so it was an exact bass match? I used to do that when I was in a band with no bass player.

anthonycondarcuri.bandcamp.com/album/supernova
digits btw

Well I have a multi effects pedal that does it, lowers octave, changes a few of the effects settings. Then more changes with DAW vst effects with EQ for drier bassier sound. I used lots of VSTs lol

What kind of VSTs did you use? I could never get that really dry sound, mine usually just sounded like a slowed down regular guitar.

Hm, just cut off all highs and mids basically, make bass own all low freqs other than kick drum, low reverb and everything (if you ever need bassline+guitar riff to stand out at any given time, sync it with kick drum hits)

I basically like, wanted for years to find a band to play with but that's pretty much impossible, so all the music I had in my head for like 6+ years now, I finally just decided to make it all myself.

I get that man. My alternative for finding a band was collaborations or playing everything myself, both work but it's not quite as fun as working with people in person.

You could always ask someone in here for collab on something, I've done an entire album and a few songs that way.

This isn't a dig at you but
what compels you to organize sound in such an overtly offensive way? Just for sake of subversion or what? I mean
Ok seriously I'm not trying shit on you
I guess since you self-describe it as humor this is your goal. I mean, it's getting many laughs from me.
fuck seriously i'm having trouble wording this in a way that doesn't seem ingenuine

oh god it keeps getting worse
but seriously. it confuses and interests me

sometimes i think about posting my bandcamp in these threads but i am a combination of insecure and self-righteous about promoting my music in this hellhole.

That's respectable, I wouldn't feel comfortable letting my friends listen to my music either.

I like your enthusiasm, 18 people is a shitload to me.

>but that's really just the instrumentation

Just listened to the whole thing while doing gathering quest in Monster Hunter and this was definitely the more interesting of the two. It has a really nice texture and atmosphere. I don't really know enough about the genre to be very critical but I think maybe expanding the palette a bit would improve it. There's many starts of songs that have feedback for example and I think it would be cool if that was incorporated in the song proper more.

I like this. The synths are really cool and you have a pretty good voice. Favourite track is Roland under the covers. Wish you'd post your lyrics

This is really pleasant. I like the endless repetition in Greiving Fawn. It's meditative.

This is pretty cool. Kind of wish there was more of an effort to reconcile the guitar parts and the musique concrete parts.Mr. Goblin Theme is my favourite track. There's also a lot of sound from the guitar pick which doesn't really add anything and I think you should try to avoid it.

Oh yeah, recced these both in last thread, first one is very cute, well produced, develops well with its layerings

Just do it~

That'd be cool to collab, I basically only played with other musicians a few times before, have no like, connections. Although I think I'm pretty alone in my genre on Sup Forums especially ahaha.
Don't really have any other musical communities than this though, pretty much have only posted here for years. Like how does one "promote" music IDK, don't know anybody

>Just do it~
It has been done.

This is probably not as applicable for a one man prog rock band but I found that people are a lot more interested in anything that happens live. I played at an open mic twice and suddenly got a real gig and like 10 CDs sold whereas on Sup Forums I get a handful of partial plays and maybe a download.

I think you should. It's the kind of situation where it's fine even if you fuck up.

"depressive" black metal is instafail, oxymoron meme genre. black metal is about breathing fire and praising Satan/Wotan, anything else misses the point

>instafail, oxymoron meme genre
Such a good opinion there :^)

Its kinda funny that statment, considering the mass amounts of suicides on the black metal scene, that depression/despair is a part of that sub-culture.

No joke, hearing the Wild Ivy League cassette back in 2014 for the first time was a huge inspiration on me, and really pushed me to complete Grow House. Sonically they're not much alike, but it seriously woke me up to the realization that there is actually incredible music on here. I heard "Thanks", and I was like, 'fuck this is unreal. I need to get Grow House done so I can join the party.' I have since found out there are a lot of really talented people in these threads, and sometimes it seems like a fucking crime that they aren't getting the level of recognition they deserve. I don't know where I'm going with this. brb gotta work on vocs.

I guess I can actually like, maybe perform a cut down arrangement of a song...it'll be funnn...I just need to like say my bandcamp name right? My last name is kind of hard to spell for most people lol. Printing CDs seems I dunno do people still do that? I don't want to be too forward...sorry just excited thinking about it

Wow I actually think this is real cool. Love the riffing and chord progressions, well structured song. Ahaha Little Bird is a big change. Very pretty, well structured/written as well (most of the stuff here tends to be more freeform)

WOW cool vocals! Super pro and confident! Cool riff and lots of energy, good development throughout the song, like it! You should add more album tags!

I printed CDs and drew covers and stuff but that's part of the aesthetic to me. They did sell though. People generally have CD players still even if they don't buy new music on CD anymore, and the audience was mainly 40+ since it was as much of a poetry event as a music one and at a library.
