Please, explain haiku. I dont know japanese, and for me haiku is just about number of syllables in each line. No wordplay, rhythm or rhyme is involved, and it seems too easy to be poetry. But i guess, in japanese it makes more sense somehow.

It has actually rhythm and rhyme, also they have so many rules such as you have to use seasonal words or use a conventional poetic epithet as metafora for those special seasonal words. About more details, read as follow.
