What's the best version of Heroes and Villains?

What's the best version of Heroes and Villains?
Smiley Smile version, the Cantina version, or the BWPS/Sessions version?

Cantina version

zitto animale

The cantina version by far.

Damn this ain't bad
Good work

Hey that's pretty good

Why?

bump

It's more authentic, as in it's the actual mix Brian prepared during the SMiLE sessions, meant for the album.

Heroes And Villains acts better as a unifying musical theme of the album when its brief and tells a story in the beginning, and has reprises of its unlimited material in subtle locations on the rest of the album

thanks doods

This is such a great idea in theory that actually sounds like shit in practice

Its been done pretty well before, never listened to Mujans mix?

>putting the Do You Like Worms bicycle rider piano tag in there
finally someone who gets it

Yeah his is garbage and he's also a shitty person as well

what's the cantina version? i know the other 2

Pretty sure it's the "Heroes and Villains Part 1" on the Sessions bonus disc. It lacks the 'just see what you've done' chorus, has some more lyrics and I think the performance is the best. There might be some more differences

i don't have anything on mine titled that exactly

Is this it, or some fan mix? I really liked the bit where it breaks down ~2min, but the overall the flow isn't as nice as the album version.

Did you read the liner notes of your copy of the CD or vinyl?

Yeah that's the one I'm talking about

I like the idea of not having the "just see what you've done" in there at all, it's just a bit much with the bicycle rider...I mean the reprising thing is cool but its not that imaginative

>.I mean the reprising thing is cool but its not that imaginative
What do you mean?

It just seems out of character for Brian to just keep falling back into old ideas rather than go into a new direction . Seems too conventional

How was it an old idea?
