cunt central

need more jazz pls pls pls

cool for having Standstill in there too. Noice taste, fine as fuck.
Fave Harold Budd? I find White Arcades to be one of his worse efforts (maybe went too far there) but i don't really understand the praise.

I fucking love Avalon Sutra
cunts are kewl anyway
check out lee morgan if you haven't

Bladee is much better then he has any right to be

try some Dexter Gordon

>Dexter Gordon
I have heard most of his work. I don't really dig his style, too ballad-y for me.
Quebec is best ween (after pod)

>he got the banana in
maybe u should be executed too
hmm
>need more jazz pls pls

I've only heard White Arcades actually but I really enjoyed it. I'll check out Avalon Sutra sometime if I'm in the mood.

I didn't know Lester played in this formation. sounds cool.
>Avalon
Yeah, definetely. It was one of my favorite records when I was super into ambient.

>Mtume Umoja
Fuck, this is great. Didn't know about this.

I can't really tell how much jazz you know but I'm going to assume a lot? Check out Dollar Brand, one of the most underrated musicians imo

ps: i can't find his album Sangoma anywhere :(

Very nice tune tbqh. Likin' that playful riff and the weird shit that starts around the 2 min mark.
:)

>Criss Cross
I hope you mean either the album from Monk or the record label...

i was thinking of the label, ive only heard Art of War. you could find out for yourself

It's pretty long tbqh. I'm sure I'll find a time when I'm ready for it though.
>かえる目
Favorite track off 拝借? There are a couple to choose from but my favorite's probably 街の名は渋谷.

>Art of War
I asked because in discogs he had like five listed under his name... thanks! i'll look into them further

And yeah, such a fine label, it's great.

>I can't really tell how much jazz you know but I'm going to assume a lot?
nah maybe like 10 albums in addition to the 'core classics' lmao, i just like trawling through sun ra a lot like muslimgauze or dj screw because of the amount of stuff they put out
i just found that mtume album the other day on this random blog
thanks for that one

oh, nice
if you dig sun ra i'll assume you'll dig Pharoah Sanders and Alice Coltrane's.
Also check out Mal Waldron for sure, anything he touches is gold imo.
And if you dig free too, then Nefertiti the Beautiful One Has Come, and also Coltrane's Meditations.

hope it's of some use!
idk i could rec more but not inspired :(

>Favorite track off 拝借?
街頭行進 and ぴかぴか星人応答せよ they're both so comfy

>if you dig sun ra i'll assume you'll dig Pharoah Sanders and Alice Coltrane's.
i do like those two
i will make sur eto check out those others ty

Definitely solid picks. What a comfy album.

amazingly i've never checked out any of MBVs EPs.
or TMOI
or Quebec
-LGIO
I love What's Going On but not much else that i've heard from Marvin has really hit me
+GBV
~ADII, DJS
+Dylan, TVU, Doors, Rush, SW
-everything else, probably
+Cluster
idk
i know i've heard a couple of these from my screamo/hardcore phase a few years back, but i can't say i remember much about them

well that's too bad. i don't really know much about jazz so i just recced one of the few i knew. Quebec > The Pod desu
Super Ape is great, don't really know anything about dub either but i liked it

>What's Going On
For me it's the other way around. I really loved Let's Get it On, I even connected to it on a really personal level. But WGO didn't do anything for me except maybe Inner City Blues (I reckon it's well produced but so is LGIO).

I dunno, it seems that people only like one of his records and that's it.
It's okay, I appreciate it.
Where would you rank Mollusk? I used to love that one but now it's either Pod or Quebec.

GWS > Quebec > The Pod > White Pepper > Chocolate and Cheese > 12 Golden Country Greats > Pure Guava > La Cucaracha
