i like to explore new music

>not fully exploring an album through repeated listens

>only listening to albums

>doesn't consider singles / eps "albums"

Thats why they're called singles / eps and not albums

>doesn't mention live recordings, classical works, compilation albums or mixes
wew

Singles are a different matter but EPs are literally just short albums.

>if you release your music digitally and still refer to it as an LP or EP you should kill yourself

>digitally

They should all just be called ''MP3s'' or ''FLACS'' then, no album, no single, no EPs

Album is a generic term for a collection of multiple songs released to the public together

>if you release your music digitally and still refer to it as an album you should kill yourself

Its all just ''MP3s'' or ''FLACS'' now, there are no albums, just ''folders'' of ''MP3s'' or ''FLACS''

Again, album does not refer to a physical format. LP and EP do that.

Live in the now Grandpa, they're just folders of MP3s today, leave your outdated terms in the last century

Those terms are still in valid usage today since vinyl never died. Even terms like 8-track are making a comeback.

Even the hip and relevant bandcamp calls them digital ALBUMS.

24.5 listens/artist master race
probably half the releases i listen to are EPs/singles/mixes btw

Why though? Who are you trying to impress?

?????????

language belongs to its users, so if people still use "LP", it'll stick around
I'm guessing most people nowadays might think of Let's Plays when you use that word though

How is that ''trying to impress'' dickwad?

...

I like to explore every once in a while.

I don't relisten to stuff as much as I should desu

what ahppened to him

something in between i guess? I really like to explore new music and relisten to albums I liked it
i feel hard to rate every album i listen to tho'. I only categorize as "liked it" "didn't like it"

Nice.

I came to this thread to answer the question, instead I got two dickweeds arguing about what an album is.

Core and Variety

Which ended, lots of people replied on topic after, then YOU derailed it again . Well done idiot.

both but if you don't listen to works that take more than 10 listens (being generous) you're listening to the wrong music

died of autism

impressive... however you're not impressing anyone

>you're listening to the wrong music
Nothing condescending about that.

>the more listens makes muh music deeper

I listen shit to death p much

I'm impressed (not true, by the way)

oh boy...

>i, too, understood the composition in its totality on first listen XD
passive aggression is weakness

This.
I used to be like this but going through an album repeated times and not liking it happened way too many times. I can usually tell if somethings worth the repeated listens. If i didnt like it ill usually come back to it in a few months

I listen to the same albums a lot.

>muh 4 chord ditties about no gf are complex

used to listen to the same albums a lot, though trying to change it

Than why would you say such a thing you vile man

Here I was thinking I had internet cred

is the scope of your musical framework reduced to rock music?

prefer to listen to new music

i only re-listen to old stuff when there's no new, intriguing music

>says albums for art music

Really shot yourself in the foot there champ

>scrobbling

autism

>"art" "music"

What's autistic about scrobbling?
