>Death Grips
This feels so weird

what does that phrase even mean

youtube.com/watch?v=xz-ivWFVWmw

What about stuff like this. Readings of lyrics. Just beautiful if you ask me.

Rappers like lil dicky

no, the whole
>2015: the year rap became self aware

>2016: death grips

Please bring back witch house

All memes aside, what "meme new genre" represented 2015 and 2016?

>professional rapper
>implying lil dicky is self aware at all

2016: kooky hypebeast twitter rappers with colored hair and random adlibs

Anymore like this?

Where's sportswave?

2013: Meme Rap
2014: Bubblegum Bass
2015: Meme Rap Revival (Young Thug, Future)
2016: Simpsonswave

>2015
>forgetting about Arctic Ambient

ARCTIC AMBIENT IS A FUCKING SHIT GENRE THAT BASES ITS ENTIRE SOUND ON PUTTING THE COLORS BLUE AND WHITE ON EVERY ALBUM COVER. THE ENTIRETY OF THE SCENE IS FILLED WITH NIHILISTIC FUCKTARDS WHO ARE TOO FUCKING EDGY TO HAVE THEIR MUSIC LABELED AS "WARM DRONE" EVEN THOUGH THAT'S EXACTLY WHAT IT FUCKING IS. EVERY ARCTIC AMBIENT ALBUM THAT I HAVE HEARD IS DERIVATIVE BULLSHIT THAT IN NO WAY WARRENTS A SUBGENRE OF IT'S OWN, OH WHOOPEE YOU FUCKING MADE SOME SYNTHS PLAY OVER FUZZY STATIC THATS LITTERALLY REGULAR FUCKING WARM DRONE MUSIC YOU FUCKING MEME. IF YOU PUT SUNNY SHIT ON THE COVER THEN IT LITERALLY WOULDN'T BE ARCTIC AMBIENT ANYMORE GET A CLUE BITCH.

2015 was meme grime or toronto wave
2016 is post industrial reggaeton

>2015 was meme grime or toronto wave
this isn't fitting at all
these aren't internet meme genres
these are just some vibes that were going on in the radio

>2016 is post industrial reggaeton
This is true but the thing is that it has nothing
to do with industrial and most of it has nothing to with reggaeton

its much better than "the year rap became self aware"
because that has nothing to do with the internet also

>post industrial reggaeton

post examples

yeah

>2016
This isn't a genre but this definitely is the freshest thing out in 2015-2016 and all of this is kinda part of the same scene. The range of
different styles in this scene is pretty diverse from post-ironic edits and mashups to serious experimental electronic music.
From experimental bass music that takes alot from instrumental grime, juke and baltimore bass to groovy soundscapes.
Some of the notable traits are heavy use of sound fxs such as glass breaking, guns, swords, transformers movies sound design type thingys as
percussive elements, 2000's nu-metal and pop acapellas and trance synth lines

Here are some tracks to give you a example

Hard hitting experimental bass music:

Either 2015 or 2016 should be industrial meme bass. Kinda like Arca, Rabit, Lotic, Angel Ho and stuff.

we're calling it post industrial reggaeton
or the weird frontier

2015: nu grime
2016: the weird frontier

why post industrial reggaeton?
why not post industrial grime?
why not post industrial dancehall?
why not post industrial afbrobeat?
why not post industrial moombathon?
why not post industrial juke?
why not post industrial baltimore club?
why not post industrial mash-up?
why not post industrial jersey club?
why not post industrial garage?
why not post industrial nu-metal?
why not post industrial funk ousadia?
industrial meme bass is alot better

also why post industrial?
