How is I Talk to the Wind so much better than every other track on this album?

How is I Talk to the Wind so much better than every other track on this album?

its not

In order from best to worst

Epitaph
21st century schizoid man
In the Court of the crimson king
Moon child
I talk to the wind

nice contrarian taste, fag. First time listening to the album or what

Nah, every track has its own appeal on this album.

21st Century Schizoid Man is the perfect single type track for this kind of music. Pretty simple to follow, while it has some cool crazy sounding parts.

I Talk To The Wind is like the more classical and folk influenced track on this with its atmosphere and the solos.

Epitaph is unique among a lot of prog stuff due to how emotional it is.

Moonchild is a jazz jam in space. Honestly has more in common with something Sun Ra would do than other prog artists.

In The Court Of The Crimson King is the epitome of prog rock with how cinematic it sounds by playing with different dynamics and how it moves through its instrumental section.

Shit, this is basic bitch mucore but still unlike a lot of albums overly praised here, it's mad consistent.

I really like the fuzzy vibraphones or whatever they are, in the chorus after he says I talk to the wind

Switch Epitaph and I talk to the wind and you are correct

It's actually:
21st Century Schizoid Man
The Court of the Crimson King
Moonchild
Epitaph
I Talk to the Wind

nah

Good question. I've wondered this for quite a while as well.

I heard a rumor there's a Father John Misty cover of this coming

Epitaph and title track are both corny and repetitive. They are a significant tier below the other three songs on the record

Serious question:

Why do people hate the improv half of Moonchild so much?

Because it's better than most other rock songs ever recorded

I like the imagery and vibe of the first part of the song, like youre out there staring at the moon or something

then the improv can seem boring and prolonged

you may want to ask yourself how pic related is better than ITCOTCK first

Schizoid Man is like 9 rhythms and it literally reverses the order of them and throws in probably the one of the most insane tandem syncopated pieces I've ever heard. How could it be repetitive?

All this people pretending they enjoy the 2nd half of moonchild

It's too improv, no real flow to it

This

>title track

I'm fucking retarded, I just woke up.

Schizoid > Moonchild > Wind > Court > Epitaph

Greg Lake trying to sound dramatic is embarrassing to hear
