Anyone who doesn't think this genius was MoM today is either mentally deficient or on hallucinogenics. Every single goal was a result from this man's individual ability. I cannot see any other Liverpool player creating any one of the three goals Firmino was responsible for. I was a 10 my entire life and have been coaching professionally for a couple of years so I spend a lot of time analyizing the game.
>Technique on the cross with the first goal. Not only technique but the decision-making involved in the technique. Another player would've driven hard and low with the left foot. It was spontaneous, unpredictable, hard to control, and baffled Villareal's defense (and Sturridge). >Skill, creativity, and vision to pick out Sturridge with the second. This speaks for itself. >1 v 1 ability, and tactical awareness to maneuver his body and vision again to place the ball into Sturridge between the two defenders.
If Sturridge finishes like he should, Firmino has three assists today.
Firmino is CLASS. His ball control, awareness, technique, and vision is superior. One of the things that separates him from other players is how quick & efficient he is in looking around with and without the ball so that he knows exactly where his teammates before he receives and as his head is down. Beyond his ball accuracy, this is how he consistently makes seemingly impossible passes. He is the squad leader with 9 assists this season. If creating opportunities leading to goals he'd have far more.
Klopp's masterstroke today was playing Firmino, Sturridge, and Coutinho together. Should be a great final against Sevilla but Liverpool will need Firmino to flourish again if we are to win. If Coutinho, Firmino, and Sturridge become more consistent and we add to the quality of our side this summer (CB, GK, CM) Liverpool can become conquerors again.
I'd been asking for Klopp for years. He is 21st century Shanks. All dissenters and skeptics will be made to look increasingly foolish. Beautiful to have a Liverpool team worthy of the shirt again.
I needed to set the record straight. Firmino is a player who hasn't got his due at all this season. Second top scorer and assist leader in a resurgent season for Liverpool. Some of his individual performances (Arsenal, Man City, Villareal) have been fucking outstanding. And he's still only 24!
Colton Carter
Brazilians know their football. Norwich as well. This goal was insane.
Jose Lee
Once he settled in the league and Klopp came in, he's been great. Still has an off game here and there, but overall he's THE vital link between the midfield and the attack, especially when he plays behind Studge/Origi.
Should he keep this form, next season he'll probably score 15-20 and have a similar amount of assists.
Elijah Torres
>but overall he's THE vital link between the midfield and the attack
Exactly. He plays best with a front three with pacey players (Sturridge & Coutinho). He loves to drift inside and find the seams between defenders. He is an absolute joy to watch for the connoisseur on his best day. I tell my boys to pay attention to this player.
Oliver Edwards
>next season he'll probably score 15-20 and have a similar amount of assists.
This is a good target. I have no doubt Klopp will get the productivity out of him.

Poor Mans's Dimitri Payet

In the beginning of the season it infuriated me seeing him play off Benteke's shoulder, in a squad with many new players that were still settling (Benteke, Origi, Lallana, Ings).
Every time he made a run, nobody could see him. Everytime he picked a pass, Benteke didn't see where to run. And so he was wasted on many of those Aug-Oct games.
Glad those days are over.
Justin Walker
What the hell was up with that big nosed scumbag? He should've been sent off in the first half.
The Villarreal player sent off was probably the ref trying to balance out the mistakes he made in the first half.
Smart. Yeah, Benteke needs to be offloaded. He isn't built for this team. I strongly suspect his residence on the bench has to do with guaranteeing his fitness for a transfer.

Reminder that Sup Forums laughed at me when I said he'd have a better season than Sterlel

Good fucking riddance. Hope Pep permabenchs him, like Gotze.

Well, if this season is any indication, Pep loves a pacy black winger.

Coman too. And he wanted Nerman in 2013. AND brought Henry to Barcelona.

I started this thread, faggot. I've demonstrated more knowledge about football here than you have in your entire life. Prove me wrong. Pleb and lmao are not arguments, tumblrina
Ethan Cox
Agreed. Liverpool has been easily the most entertaining English team to watch in recent months
Zachary Lee
The fact that you don't know what Soccer Am is proves it. lmao pleb

I know what Soccer AM is ya cunt.
Kayden Butler
Looking backwards twice in the space of 1.5 seconds while maintaining possession of the ball and determining there the space and positioning of the defender to pull of an unorthodox Maradona is impressive. That is a lot of multi-tasking. We'd love to see you try, Fred
Isaac Foster
you're retarded stop overthinking simple stuff that 8yos can do instinctively

Na you were shitting on him a year ago

I've coached hundred of players including elite 18 yos, Fred. Not one player has ever done that. It was partially instinctive but someone taught him to do that and he has been mastering it since.
I'm a coach. Overthinking it was we do. But I know Firmino has a unique capacity for doing this as I mentioned in OP. Most players don't do it at all but I do it as much as I can and it's not as easy as it looks
Angel Bennett
If you want to know the truth it is also very difficult to coach. It takes a gifted player to play like this even at the professional level
Chase Hernandez
>I'm a coach.
so is wenger and look what the stupid shit he says just to fool everyone into thinking he's an intellectual of some sort. overthinking simple stuff just to differentiate yourself from the "plebs" who "don't see the depth and geniality of looking backwards" will make you a shit coach.
Daniel Rivera
Liverpool have 18 titles; why are you lying?
James Jones
Soccer AM is LITERALLY for plebs tho.
Zachary Stewart
>I've coached hundred of players including elite 18 yos
Yeah, in the United States. Our 18 year olds are on the level of your average Brazilian 12 year old.

Haha, I've done very well as a coach and have learned from many good coaches. It is apparent to me that I do not need your advice. If I did, I'd ask for it. Thanks anyways
