Ive gotten really into Lightning Bolt and Giddy Motors lately. And i want more reccommendations!
Share stuff youve listened to lately, discuss, bicker, etc.
Also, want to share this band i saw at a concert some months ago. Aiming for Enrike. amazing use of loop pedals, and the incredibly tight drummer from Shining. youtube.com/watch?v=UMezLbpBTQM
Best Irish band. A gem in the midst of indie pop mediocrity.
>tfw the Irish music scene is terrible
Blake Taylor
Hella obviously. Early Tera Melos possibly
Leo Clark
do you think merzbow ever used drugs? he's only mentioned alcohol before, saying that he made venereology while drinking lots of beer and for his next releases was back to sober. he used to eat meat, remember, so it's possible that just as he was not a life-long vegan he may have not been lifelong straightedge.
anyone else pick up an amphetamines vibe from his harshest stuff? or was he, like keiji haino, lifelong straightedge and used his music as "the real stimulant" (quote from haino)? i often feel like the hectic pulses and paranoiac harsh noise walls of merzbow reflect some aspects of the amphetamine effects. i believe him that he's straightedge now, i can't see him at age 60 dabbling in dangerous drugs, but he might have the memory.
I'm really glad I got into Daughters just in time to see them on tour
Nathaniel Murphy

eh not too bad man, some great bands hidden amongst the shite Alarmist, Halves, Jimmy Cake and Overhead the Albatross are all fantastic + Redneck Manifesto are coming back next year, don't be too pesimistic
