bumping because these threads usually produce some interesting discussion unlike 99% of threads on Sup Forums, can't listen right now but will later.

an avant garde masterpiece.
very cryptic but profound, i think i can see what you're trying to say
what's funny is that, even though it is obviously shit, if Michael Gira released this, people would actually consider it genius.
Why not
I'm still working on this. Ends abruptly because the other 5-7 minutes of this aren't on it yet. Showed a few friends, they all liked it, one of them really loved it.

I give you "Comfy."
I've shared this before, but i made it specially for sharing on this board. I titled it so you can bipass it if ya don't wanna hear it again.
Very nice main rhythm mate (bear in mind I don't really know what I'm talking about) - not the biggest fan of the vocal harmony sort of things but very cool and tribalistic? More variation in the second half?
Nice guitar line but gets too cluttered
I really liked where it seemed to be going at the end too
Yeah, the part I'm still working on. I promise it'll be amazing when it's done, just takes me a while is all. Thanks bub.
Well I'm going for dense so I guess that's a good thing.
lovely. Guitar tone somewhat reminds me of GYBE in Sleep or Antennas to heaven
Blending 3 P90s through clean channel of a Rockerverb. Oh, graced with just a lick of Bigsby.

i'd love some feedback on the mix, worked real hard on it
Not what I'd usually listen to, but can definitely appreciate that it does sound good and you've worked hard, people cleary like it a lot so keep going. Really enjoyed the tonal shift from about 2:30 onwards too.

I hung in for a minute and a half. I liked what i heard. MusicMakerJam app from google play market? Ya know if you make any money at all using their program they get a cut... i wouldn't imagine this is escapable as everything is documented and tracked digitally.

i am unsure of what you are talking about here but thanks for the kind words.
>whiny bullshit
>trying to learn proper EQing, compression, etc
will return feedback
this is me
i think before you worry about mixing stuff the first step is to get the recording stuff done right. mic position, mic choice, gain staging, etc. if you have a great recording, especially for basic singer songwriter type stuff, you shouldn't need much eq other than on the vocals and maybe cut a little 1-2k on the guitars to make them sound more expensive.

What do you guys think of these. How do they make you feel?
yeah i'm saving up for a decent USB mic at the moment, I don't mind it being sort of lo-fi I just don't want it to sound like hot shit. that track was recorded through my headphone so i have a ways to go lol at some point it'd be nice to have a mini studio
your track is dope man, definitely came through with the dark vibe and that first drop was exquisite

thanks man, appreciate it.
just a little advice on usb mics...
they're generally not worth the money you spend on them. IMO one of the easiest ways to have "decently professional" sounding recordings is to grab:
>shure sm58 microphone $100 (less if used)
>steinberg ur22 audio interface $150
>reflexion filter pro $250
this will cut down on your room sound while giving you an easily expandable setup. as a next purchase the sm7b mic would be a great choice for vocals, and then you could take the pop shield off your sm58 and turn it into a makeshift sm57 which will sound great for your guitar.

this is very interesting. The kick rhythm is very soothing
top of the bottom is a really nice track. great urban atmosphere with some cool synths.
Squid5 is a neat track as well. Cool samples.
