>Syrian intellectuals

>They introduced themselves as intellectuals “democrats and secularists, in opposition to the al-Assad’s tyrannical regime for many years or decades, and participants in the struggle for democracy and justice in our country, our region, and the world.”

I'm not falling for that meme again.

I hope assad kills every last man woman and child who supports the rebels at this point. It's their fault the war is still going on. They have absolutely no hope of winning but still they drag out the conflict leading to more and more civilian deaths.

let me guess you're not an intellectual

Kurd slaughter when 2017

>It's their fault the war is still going on

You can literally say the same thing about every part involved.

More intellectual than you if you honestly believe that the rebels support democracy instead of the genocide of all non sunnis at this point.

Except the government has a real chance of "winning" at this point.

Most syrians support Assad. Only radical Sunnis support rebels at this point.

>Most syrians support Assad.Only radical Sunnis support rebels at this point.

This is literally the same level of brainwashing that people that say "most syrians support the FSA" have ..you do realize that right?

>Syrian intellectuals
What has a Syrian accomplished since the Medieval ages besides ostensibly being half the makeup of a co-founder of Apple who's Syrian father abandoned him as a kid?

All they have done since the 50s was quadruple their population and be butthurt towards Israel.

>"""""""Syrian""""""

Tell me in whose territory most Syrians live.

Then why does more than two thirds of the syrian population that hasn't fled the country live in government controlled areas?

I'm not saying that everyone loves the guy, but compared to the alternatives he looks like an angel. Syrians just want peace at this point. they're exhausted after nearly 6 years of war. Any syrian with a working brain knows that if the rebels somehow won, they would just start to fight themselves (like they already do every single day).

t. Syrian

>Syrian intellectuals

The government ...does that make them pro assad or what? There's no logic behind that statement

>why does more than two thirds of the syrian population that hasn't fled the country live in government controlled areas

People don't want to live their homes. That's the same reason there's a lot of people still living in Aleppo. On top of that ,government controlled areas aren't bombed by aerial strikes...their lives are better

Just because they're not the greatest fans of the rebels doesn't mean they support assad. Just because the rebels are retarded also doesn't mean they support assad. Most people want the war done no matter who wins as long as its not isis.

What bothers me more than anything else is the same concept Sup Forums and russophiles used when they talked about ukraine . "The people loved their leader , it's all foreign backed" which is bullshit and i'm sick of seeing that shit everywhere.

Two bads don't make a good. Just because the structure of the FSA makes it almost surely a recipe for a Libya 2.0 doesn't make assad or anyone else in that conflict for that matter at this point the good guy , and you're lying to yourself if you think there isn't a huge following especially on Sup Forums of people who think >muh assad is the greatest of democratic leaders ...

Let me guess, you're a terrorist refugee.

Dude nobody gives a fuck at this point, just end the war.

The text says they are against both american and russian intervention actually.

literally exactly what he said

what ? me ? oh fuck...uhm..i'll try

arm the nukes

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Romania_and_weapons_of_mass_destruction

fucking hippies, just like us.

Ivan that's literally what he said. You are drunk Ivan, go to sleep.

>There's no logic behind that statement

Wait, so if vastly more Koreans flee North Korea to South Korea, then according to you there's no evidence that South Korea recieves more support from Koreans?

Fuck the FSA and fuck all Rebels in Syria. Kill them all, long live Assad and the Syrian Arab Army. The only good Rebels in the Middle East are the Houthis because of their excellent Saudi Butchering skills. Those jihadists will be shitting their pants soon when Trump restores Arab Socialism in Iraq and Syria.

Exactly

It means there's more reasons for people to flee from the north to the south than vice-versa. Doesn't have anything to do with supporting.

If someone would bomb the states so much it'd case poverty all around, you would be literally starving (>inb4 muh who would do that ) , hypothetically speaking ...and you had to flee to mexico.

Does that mean you support mexico? No...it means your living conditions are significantly shittier and as a result ur forced to relocate.

What you're saying basically leads to " syrian refugees support europe " ..which they're not really supporting...

>Just because they're not the greatest fans of the rebels doesn't mean they support assad

Thats pretty much exactly what I said. my problem with this article is the rebels trying to pretend they still care about democracy to gain more western support, which is bullshit because they want to set up a sharia state and kill the alawites, druze, christians, shia, etc.

Its bullshit propaganda that westerners who don't know anything about the conflict gobble up so they can feel good about themselves supporting "freedom".

The sad truth is Assad and his government are the only people Syrians can turn to for any semblance of a normal life now. With Trump as president the rebels are scared that he will cut off their support (which he will) so this is their last ditch effort to pull on western heart strings for more anti tank missiles.
