I got tinnitus a few weeks ago, mostly through not wearing hearing protection at shows because I'm an idiot, and now I'm finding it hard to even enjoy listening to music anymore, and when I'm not listening to music I constantly have a soft high pitched fuzz in my ears, which worsens when I listen to music even at medium volumes on my headphones
Place the palms of your hands over your ears with fingers resting gently on the back of your head. Your middle fingers should point toward one another just above the base of your skull. Place your index fingers on top of you middle fingers and snap them (the index fingers) onto the skull making a loud, drumming noise. Repeat 40-50 times. Some people experience immediate relief with this method. Repeat several times a day for as long as necessary to reduce tinnitus.

I got tinnitus at my first show ever. I didn't know better. How bad is yours, OP? If it's not bad you will most likely just stop noticing it eventually.

i just kinda ingore it and go to more live shows it started when i first went to japanese rock live gigs in 2008 and to see local rock acts which play really fucking loud
so nowadays like 50 something gigs later whenever im not focusing on anything and start thinking whats this little noise i get the eeeeeeEEEEEE immediatly. Just get used to it and listen music to distract yourself from it. It´s there to stay.

Can doctors objectively diagnose tinnitus? I think I might have it, but it's so extremely mild that it could just be my imagination. There's an ever so faint high pitched buzz when in compete silence, but the lightest sound like even the hum of my computer fans is enough to make it disappear.

I have that to I only notice it in the middle of the night when it's extremely quiet

>It´s there to stay. See that's what scares me the most, whenever I read online about dealing with tinnitus and everyone says the first thing to do is to acknowledge that it's going to be with you forever I get heart palpitations and feel ever so slightly suicidal, it's fucking scary

This is something all people experience, don't worry. Tinnitus is much more noticeable.
