A-anyone?

NYC is okay. I'd much rather live on the west coast. But then again I'm from around Philly so my views of the east coast are mediocre.

Lots of euros are major NYC-boos. I don't get it, I think London is about equal in size and importance??

Living around NYC is ok. Can be very expensive but having a roommate helps pay the bills and leaves a little bit afterwards to save.

Living in NYC proper is impossible unless you make at least 6 figures

de Blasio fucked up new york.

I've never been in NYC but visited London like 20 times for a month or so, and Londinium is a fucking garbo

what do you not like about london? NYC is a lot more diverse than London, so if that's the reason, you'd probably like NYC less unless you just stayed in Brighton Beach

New York has lots more tall buildings than London, which makes it feel different. Not really a fan of NY though, lots of unpleasant smells and the denizens seemed a bit mental.

At least he's not Ed Koch, that's not saying much

I don't know, maybe that's because I visited it so many times, but it's not only crowded, but also overwhelmingly ugly an expensive as fuck to live there

I hear London is viewed in Russia the same way Paris is viewed in, say, Japan. Is it true Ruskies think of London as some sort of haven or paradise?

Greatest city in the world is Recife, shut up.

>ronaldo, the city council needs those building color schemes! what are we going to do?
>don't worry I got u pham

Actually, those buildings are one of the things that people from netherlands left to us once they were here, back in XVII century.

makes me think

Forgot the pic.

aquafresh can't keep getting away with this

I've read somewhere that back in early 1900's there was actually Finnish community in Harlem. Is this information accurate?

Sorry, didn't get this one.

There was a small Scandinavian community in NYC by then yes, most of them fleeing poverty and famine in their home countries.

NYC is great to visit but it's a shitty place to live

It's because people here grow up watching American movies and shows, and a lot of them take place in New York. If I moved to America I'd also live on the west coast, but NY still has a particular charm.

>The first of New York’s two Finntowns was in East Harlem, where a stretch of 125th Street between Fifth Avenue and Harlem River was dotted with Finnish businesses during the first half of the 20th century. There were jewellery shops, clothing stores and restaurants as well as a bakery and a beauty parlour.

>Several Finnish clubs and associations were established; the most notable was Fifth Avenue Hall on the corner of 127th Street and Fifth Avenue. Starting in 1917, it formed the headquarters of a local Finnish Socialist party.

I find this amusing.

>wanting to live in a huge city with hobos, beggars , crime and insane housing prices
Why?

I dislike NYC for similar reasons.

you clearly have never been to new york. i was like you, don't worry. decades of jewllywood brainwashing made the US look like some otherworldly dimension where everything is impossibly cool. the internet took that pretty picture and took a fat shit on it.

That's odd. Hollywood movies usually portray New York as a criminal gangland run by the Mafia with danger around every corner.

>huge city
I'd love it. Always something new to try and people to meet. Also 24/7 open bars and clubs.
