My Bloody Valentine + Slint

The Velvet Underground + Guided by Voices

well there's a collab between stephen O'malley and an experimental percussionist named steve noble called st. francis duo. check out peacemaker assembly, it's pretty good
>youtube.com/watch?v=2GLXHFvX2Iw
also teeth of lions rule the divine - rampton is quite percussion heavy, especially on the first song courtesy of iron monkey's old drummer. iirc that one also has stephen o'malley in it.

Thanks user, I'll check that all out

Boris + Carly Rae Jepsen

Black metal + trap

easy Boris - New Album

Ambient Techno like Gas + Spoken Word like Dennis Hopper's collab with the Gorillaz

Peacemaker Assembly is pretty much exactly what I wanted, thank you.

>noise rock + midwest emo

martial industrial + doom metal

The Black Saint and the Sinner Lady if it were a rock album

great! you may want to check out stephen o'malley's other side projects. st.francis duo has a s/t and o'malley and nobel collaborated again on a soundtrack for an art film called shade themes of kairos. o'malley's collab with mika vainio may also interest you but it has much more of an electronic feel.
fuck that sounds like it could be really good.

trip hop + shoegaze

here's some edgy spoken word over a beat, not what you're looking for but it could scratch that itch
youtube.com/watch?v=M_n-RKQirsA&list=PLGh-46ZiqxdCINAf5edZOZX8IDbAvYS69

Cardiacs + The Mars Volta

industrial doom is literally a thing. its really repetitive and percussion heavy.

that's not martial industrial tho

Grouplove + Young the Giant

Twenty one Pilots + Grouplove

Young the Giant + Twenty One Pilots

Foster the People + Young the Giant

Psychedelic + Synthpop

Bowery electric

>Psychedelic + Synthpop
starfucker?
m.youtube.com/watch?v=9TAjDuXomMg

Pixies?

it might be super simple but something like Black Rider era Tom Waits and Sufjan Stevens

Cardiacs + The Flaming Lips

>2011 meme indie
why?

narcosub.bandcamp.com/releases

Battles - Gloss Drop

Radiohead (specifically In Rainbows/TKoL/AMSP mostly because imo their past three albums are where they've started integrating electronic elements the best)
Sonic Youth
Vespertine

Pick any or all

>Psychedelic + Synthpop
Memory Tapes - Seek Magic?

autechre+pete swanson?

Rashad Becker - traditional music for a notional species vol. 1
Maybe? What aspects of autechre are you looking for?

anyone?
pls

who tf puts a fridge right in front of their door, also who tf starts talking to someone whos on the other side of a house that their not even in yet.

me and your mom

>OP

D-
Dad?
Are you back from the store?

Krispy Kareem

apparently my dream genre will never be realized :(

This is easy
So much post-hardcore sounds like this
...And You Will Know Us by the Trail of Dead

Quadrophenia - The Who

Thanks for making me think about it that way

i was looking for either quaristice + man with potential or confield + feelings in america. either something that's noisy but instead of techno, more of the beats/breaks present in quaristice, or on the other hand, something that has the beautiful ambient of confield and fia but with the glitch and noisiness of each. pita kind of has some of what i'm looking for with the first type

i checked out rb's music before, but it didn't really do much for me: maybe I need to revisit.

And Brand New (even though I hate them)
You could make a case for early modest mouse

try fennesz

ive listened to endless summer, venice, and becs. he has some decent songs, but they mostly are too static/constant for me

>MIDWEST emo

Krautrock + Shoegaze

Black Metal + Jazz

goth rock + emo

Stereolab kind of

Bowery Electric - Beat if you want chill stuff
Ambersmoke - The Great Nothing if you want gloomy noise gaze

Slowcore + Hip-Hop

or Math Rock + Hip-Hop

or Shoegaze/hip-hop, or black metal/hip-hop, basically I'm looking for weird genres with hip hop on top.

Kpop + Merzbow

>Shoegaze+Hip Hop
cLOUDDEAD

Foetus + Noise Metal

pan.thy.monium. + Ambient

breakcore + industrial

Shining - Blackjazz

Shoegaze + Funk

deafheaven's happy blackgaze + godspeed's crescendos and atmosphere

I've heard cLOUDDEAD and am totally in love with them - actually, they're the ones who kickstarted my recent experimental hip hop phase. Thanks for the suggestion though!

>Bowery Electric - Beat if you want chill stuff
HOW THE FUCK DID I NOT KNOW THIS
this is amazing

Shining from Norway, they're an odd black metal/jazz avant-garde type band.

Oh, I'm not big into hip-hop so I'm kind of short on suggestions, sorry
I'd say Dalek, but of course you've heard of them if you're into experimental hip-hop

the fall of troy + orchid

blakc metal and synthpop

semargl

>psychedelic + synthpop

youtube.com/watch?v=6TCFLpV0R8U

Lil Ugly Mane + Elliott Smith

noise and hip hop

If you post here surely you know bands that fit this description

death grips is not noise

They both released Rock Masterpieces in 1991.

death grips (not memeing), clppng, lil ugly mane

sorry for the "entry level" responses

been lookin to check out lum, thanks

ice - bad blood
2nd gen - irony is
tokyo death watch - hollow point/burst round

That's exactly how I felt when I first got recced Beat

bsd.u is lo-fi and hip hop if that counts

Followin on the math rock thing

Is there any hip hop out there with an extensive focus on WEIRD ASS rhythms?

Checking them out now, they're okay but pretty much any genre can be lo-fi if it really wants to be without any extra effort.

Post rock and shoegaze

The two intersect quite a lot.

Check out Kairon; IRSE! and Around by Whirr

Clipping and Dalek

pc music + power electronics + the residents+ solex

Maybe Devendra Banhart?

Office supplies unite - The Amoeba People.

Focused on odd instrumentation on one rhythm.

Irish Folk (pub songs mainly) + atmospheric indie

Stoner Doom + Chillout/Glitch-Hop

Basically Sleep + FlyLo

Slowcore + sound collage

Alternative Metal + Neo-Psychedelia

Ghost maybe?

Mastodon

Soul + Alternative Rock

Eh they're great but they're not neo-psych

Haven't listened, I'll give them a try

Beck obviously

meatloaf

gay banjopop like Mumford and Sons

post-hardcore + stoner rock

something like Dude Incredible basically

Aesop Rock + GY!BE

Folk-Punk + Pop-Punk

Beck - golden feelings

I'M SAAAAD

Watashi wo Noise ni Tsuretette - Hijokaidan x Yurumerumo!

Hatsune Kaidan - Hijokaidan
